Commercial Description:
We the Brewers of Avery Brewing Company, in order to form a more perfect ale, require a new leadership that can liberate us from our quagmires in foreign lands; embrace environmentally sound energy alternatives to imported oil; heal our ailing health care system; free us from tyrannical debt and resurrect the collapsing dollar. We hereby pledge to provide him or her with an ample amount of our Presidential Pale Ale to support in the struggle for the aforementioned goals! Hail to the New Chief!

Not an "Imperial" pale ale, this is a democracy. It's Presidential! Take the all-American pale ale, a bipartisan blend of malt and hops, increase to both Avery Brewing standards, and then, of course, dry hop the result with that most quintessential of American hops, Cascades, and you get this... Ale to the Chief. A brew worthy of the Oval Office! Brewed with Rocky Mountain water, malted barley, hops and yeast.

Clear copper with fluffy medium head. Plenty of citrus/floral hop aroma with a bit of sugary sweetness coming through. Nice and hoppy, with plenty of malt and alcohol to balance. Some underlying caramel. Hops linger and overall it is nicely balanced. Enjoyable for sure.

Tampa, Fl. - Whole Foods - 22 ox bomber- elegantly poured into a plastic Holiday Inn Express cup. Dark gold to light orange pour with a silky soft white head. Piney, resiny aroma with heavy spruce accents and some floral notes. Flavor is hearty with some heavy maltiness with hints of maple syrup, caramel, and of course some tangy grapefruit. Overall, good balance. Thickish, rich mouthfeel. Very decent.

22oz bomber from Perfect Pour pours a slightly translucent, amber, orange with a creamy, thin, lacing white head that settled into a thin ring around the glass. Pleasant, hoppy aroma that is mostly pine and grapefruits with a little bit of biscuits and crackers hanging out in the back. Flavor has more sweetness to go along with the citrus flavors of orange and grapefruit, pine, sweet candies, a little bit of toffee and some brown sugar. Finish has some citrus bitterness and is a little watery despite the heavy alcohol. Pleasant, enjoyable offering from Avery if not a bit generic.

The label on this 22 oz. bomber was especially well designed, with a look reminiscent of the declaration of independence. The beer, when poured into a tulip, was hazy amber in color, and the head formation was two fingers thick. The aroma was notable, only due to the mild nature of it, with a distinct lack of hops typical of most other Avery beers. The taste was well balanced between the malt, and the hops, with the former contributing an apricot fruitiness, while the latter showing up as spicy and bitter flavors. The body was quite a bit thicker than I had anticipated, with a a rough hewn rustic character reminiscent of some stronger Saisons. The alcohol was a bit obtrusive, and I think some age would mellow this beer out to more presentable package. I think it would be just right by inauguration day next year.

bottle thanks to swalden_28. poured a deep gold with an off-white head. aroma was very close to an IPA with ruby red grapefruit and some floral notes. flavor was sweet, grassy, and some hops. the combination of the ipa smell without the ipa flavor really threw me off.

Pour is bright orange with a soapy white head. Aroma is nice with some sweet malts bit a big citrus pine. Flavor has a fruity melon with some chocolate malts and a crisp citrus hop. Finish is very bitter and leaves a rye on the tounge. A very tasty beer and each sip brings something different.

Bottle from Kegs & Barrels in McKinney, TX. Pours a clear amber with off-white head. Nice aroma of tangy citris/grapefruit. Flavor is too sweet with not enough tang for this brew. Palate is full with medium carbonation....Overall, I was expecting better......but still not bad...

a slightly hazy amber/orange under a small white head. a watered down citrus hop aroma. flavor is citrus hops(lemon, grapefruit, orange), melon, and really bitter. not much malt balance. i’m definitely getting a lot of the aforementioned watermelon and other melons as well. not sure i’m diggin’ it though. needs some more balance. burning warm palate.
