Commercial Description:
We the Brewers of Avery Brewing Company, in order to form a more perfect ale, require a new leadership that can liberate us from our quagmires in foreign lands; embrace environmentally sound energy alternatives to imported oil; heal our ailing health care system; free us from tyrannical debt and resurrect the collapsing dollar. We hereby pledge to provide him or her with an ample amount of our Presidential Pale Ale to support in the struggle for the aforementioned goals! Hail to the New Chief!

Not an "Imperial" pale ale, this is a democracy. It's Presidential! Take the all-American pale ale, a bipartisan blend of malt and hops, increase to both Avery Brewing standards, and then, of course, dry hop the result with that most quintessential of American hops, Cascades, and you get this... Ale to the Chief. A brew worthy of the Oval Office! Brewed with Rocky Mountain water, malted barley, hops and yeast.

pours copper orangish with nice medium density off white head. Smell is of pure hoppiness and a little unripened plantain. Taste is hop happiness with a grapefruit swirly mixed in. Light malty sweetness makes the beer an enjoyable experience. Really good, full mouthfeel. Taste a lot like west coast IPA’s.

On tap at Papago. Pours a clear deep amber with a creamy, lacy tan head that lasts a while. Aroma is dominated by pine and citrus hops, with the roasty malt trying to fight it’s way through. Hops dominate the flavor as well, through the caramel malt, roasted nuts and fruits try to balance it all out. Thick and nicely carbonated on the palate. Dry, bitter finish. Quite IPAish, and quite tasty!

Had a bomber at Stone World Bistro before my wife and my meal came out. Pours a clear copper amber brew with a thin and creamy off-white head that has some nice retention and lacing. Aroma of roasted caramel malt, some pine and citrus zest, a touch of grapefruit and some dark pitted fruits. Taste is full bodied, some carbonation with flavors of heavy citrus, grapefruit, a touch of honey and some caramel malt, Finish is mildly bitter with some citrus and grapefruit flavors.

Clear and bright red-amber with a lofty head and sticky lace. Creamy-rich texture. Malts had some unique elements ... dry bread, snappy cookies, exotic toast and nuts. Intense flowers coated with sugary pine sap. Complex sugars lingered and added depth. Pretty tasty stuff.

I think this beer is great. Tap at Pap. Aroma of floral apples, taste of the same plus fresh water, sweetgrass, great clean hops (no citrus) and spicy alcohol. Sweet, strong, clean - like no President since FDR.

[Draft @ Capones] Poured a clear amber color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of pine, caramel, citrus fruits, floral hops, toasted malts, and light grass. Taste of pine, citrus fruits, caramel malts, light toast, sharp grapefruit, and just a little alcohol in the finish.

Pours an amberish orange color with a nice sized white head that leaves swirly lacing around the glass. The aroma is full on hops with the piney hop resin up front along with the citrus and bitter grapefruit hops on top of a sweet toffee malt base. The flavor again shows the piney and citrus hops that are sharp and dry, but are balanced out nicely with some sweet toffee and biscuit malts. Medium bodied mouthfeel and slightly syrupy with good flavor and is easy to drink. The finish is slightly sweet with some dry bitterness from the hops. Pretty good stuff here.
