Commercial Description:
We the Brewers of Avery Brewing Company, in order to form a more perfect ale, require a new leadership that can liberate us from our quagmires in foreign lands; embrace environmentally sound energy alternatives to imported oil; heal our ailing health care system; free us from tyrannical debt and resurrect the collapsing dollar. We hereby pledge to provide him or her with an ample amount of our Presidential Pale Ale to support in the struggle for the aforementioned goals! Hail to the New Chief!

Not an "Imperial" pale ale, this is a democracy. It's Presidential! Take the all-American pale ale, a bipartisan blend of malt and hops, increase to both Avery Brewing standards, and then, of course, dry hop the result with that most quintessential of American hops, Cascades, and you get this... Ale to the Chief. A brew worthy of the Oval Office! Brewed with Rocky Mountain water, malted barley, hops and yeast.

From a 22oz bomber this brew looked amber in color with a thick head and lots of lacing. Aroma of malt, hops, fruit and caramel. Very sweet taste along with the fruit, caramel and some toffee... plenty of maltiness to the taste as well.. very solid mouthfeel and overall brew - great American Strong Ale.

Poured an orangish color with small head and almost no lacing. Aroma was a ton of citrus and floral hops. Flavor was much the same almost no malt balance. Was a little watery on the mouthfeel, lack of malt base is my guess.

Pours a pale orange with off-white head. Aroma of very floral hops, caramel, and a bit fruity. The taste is quite hearty, full body, floral hops evident, slight sweetness, with a bitterness that sticks around. Malt mellows it out slightly though. Overall a pretty decent brew.

Bottle. Poured an average sized, off-white, rocky head. Hazy, burnt orange body with light particulate. Caramel and toffee dominate the malt profile and are followed by some messy dark fruit. Prevalent hop aroma and flavor - perfumy and floral with some pine and citrus. Medium, somewhat sticky body with a dry finish from both the alcohol and bittering hops. Overall a very enjoyable beer, even if a bit messy and meandering in its flavors.

Bomber. Amazing caramel nose, some typical ASA notes, toffee and overloaded orange Cascades, very floral and lifting with a churning earthy undercurrent. Rave. Cloudy wood-colored pour with a perfect lacing, rocky beige head. Taste is extremely dry and bitter, succeeded by caramel and perfume, finishes dry with warm bread. A little peach and pine, tons of sticky malt. A little resin, a little hop spice, moderately well-hidden alcohol. Little bit of a muddle, but on the whole, full-bodied yums.
