Commercial Description:
We the Brewers of Avery Brewing Company, in order to form a more perfect ale, require a new leadership that can liberate us from our quagmires in foreign lands; embrace environmentally sound energy alternatives to imported oil; heal our ailing health care system; free us from tyrannical debt and resurrect the collapsing dollar. We hereby pledge to provide him or her with an ample amount of our Presidential Pale Ale to support in the struggle for the aforementioned goals! Hail to the New Chief!

Not an "Imperial" pale ale, this is a democracy. It's Presidential! Take the all-American pale ale, a bipartisan blend of malt and hops, increase to both Avery Brewing standards, and then, of course, dry hop the result with that most quintessential of American hops, Cascades, and you get this... Ale to the Chief. A brew worthy of the Oval Office! Brewed with Rocky Mountain water, malted barley, hops and yeast.

This beer reaffirms Avery’s standing as an elite brewery. One of the things I really like about Avery is their characteristic hop profile found in their pale ales. This one does not disappoint. It has a lovely hop taste that is balanced with slight undertones of sweet malt. However, the hop taste is not out of control which makes it that much more drinkable. Right amount of carbonation and pours a darker copper color. Bomber enjoyed with two others on a nice summer night.

Poured nice rich amber, with an off white head. Nose with good amount of hops, but taste of the hops was very covered up by the excess in malt, especially bready. Decent, but not the best.

A Mes rate. Bottle at LCRBM #5.
Amber body with an off white head. Too sweet for the hops to sing, too resiny hoppy to let the malt do it’s job. Nothing bad about it by any means. I just really don’t see what people enjoy so much. Sorry folks, crap rate.

Nice tribute to our president. Malty rich aroma from an amber pour. Nice fluffy head. Flavor is malty sweet with a hop kick. Very good after taste. Dry finish.

Bottle at LCRBM 5 at Kulminator. Sweet, like most Avery beers. Sweet soapy hop and there are a lot of hops. Pretty deent. Bit over the top.

The aroma is hoppy with hints of malt. The color is a orangish copper with an off white head that’s creamy with excellent lacing. The flavor is hops, then maltiness, breadlike then the hops come back. The body is creamy and the carbonation soft.

22oz bottle. Pours cloudy amber in color with full foamy tan head. Aroma big citus hops, sweet and caramal. Taste bitter grapefruit and caramal with bitter finish.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a slightly hazy typically carbonated orange brown colored body. The nice aroma was malt hop. The crisp and clean mouth feel was tingly at the start with a vinous caramel malt foretaste and at the finish with a lasting caramel malt hop aftertaste. The balanced flavor contained notes of hops caramel and vinous. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

LCRBM 2009. Looks really good in the glass - brown with a creamy small head. Starts strong with notes of cinnamon and chocolate. Sweet and soft-spicy, christmas-like. Very well balanced finish, again with notes of cinnamon. Very good!
