COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
15 years of brewing! You know what’s been the best part lately? Tons of experimentation! For the last couple of years, we’ve been working with several strains of brettanomyces (wild yeast). We found one and deemed it the best for it’s tart flavor and funky, fruity aroma. Adding black mission figs for a subtle jammy aspect, hibiscus flowers for an herbal bouquet and hazy sunset hue, and white pepper for a bit of spicy twang, we’ve created FIFTEEN - a unique drinking experience inspired by the wild farmhouse ales of Belgium. Though immensely complex today, more flavor will emerge with time, so throw a few bottles in your cellar for future celebrations. Thanks to all of you who have made our 15-year ride possible! Peace to all and follow your dreams! Brewed with Rocky Mountain water, malted barley, malted wheat, hops, black mission figs, hibiscus flowers, white pepper, and a very unique strain of brettanomyces yeast.

Slight spice and citrus aroma. Light amber color with a little white head. Good taste of fruit and honey, but dry/alcohol tasting finish.

22oz Bomber. Poured gold with white head. Smelled funky, yeasty and figs. Tasted slightly sour with a strong fig and spice combination. I didn’t think it was as bad as people say it was, just really not my cup of tea.

Pours a hazy amber color with a good amount of head on here. Alot of carbonation happening here. The aroma is sour funky smell. When I first took a whiff I thought it was more a spicy nutmeg smell. The taste is sour but with hints of a flowery spice. It has no after taste. For a sour beer this is pretty mild, one that I could enjoy again.

Bouteille. Couleur jaune claire. Fin col. Odeur de figues et de brett. Goût de petits fruits, de figues avec une belle touche acidulée. Finale légèrement acre. Elle tient toujours la route!

I’m not a huge fan of Farmhouse Ales but this one would pair nicely with roasted meats, especially German or Belgian dishes. Not too over the top with the "funky" smells and tastes.

A little surprising and a little disappointing. The initial sensation is the tartness of the hibiscus, not the flavor, but the acidity. Second comes the flavor of the hibiscus, the floral, summery taste of red flowers. finally, comes the transition from the figs to the very strong flavor of yeast, which lingers for a while. Definitely a farmhouse ale, smells and tastes a bit like a barn at times, but very reminiscent of a hearty bourdeaux in style.

been saving this one for a while. brett and barnyard aroma all the way, yeah! golden, hazy with little bits and pieces floating around. high carbonation when opened up leading to a thick pillow of head that did dissipate but only to the point of a thick blanket of white. very tart and bretty taste. thinner body than what I had expected. i am mainly getting spice and funk in the flavor, no sour. different than what i had expected from the aroma. thin, sticky, oily feel on the palate. it’s like the body dissolves in my mouth shortly after tasting. brett bitterness sticks around for a bit, though. although i do enjoy it, it is not what i was expecting as far as flavor goes. it has been 3.5 years the since bottling date and this is the first bottle i have tasted, so i personally cannot compare fresh and aged (damn!).. but i must say the aroma rocks and is my favorite aspect of this beer by far.

Bomber from Champagne’s consumed on my porch. I am going to cut thru the BS here. I could barely get past the nose. All I could think of was urine. Once I made it past that point I was so incredibly underwhelmed by this beer. And I love the Maharaja which is why I tried this. Avery ought to take notes from Goose Island on brewing something really special for landmark anniversaries ie: Bourbon County stout. This was really poor. Sorry.

22 oz. bomber. Pours a slightly clouded gold/amber color with a ginger ale head. Minimal lacing. Heavy green apple on the nose. Farmhouse funky on the tongue. Slight taste of figs (only noticed after I read it on the bottle though). Very much like a saison because of the wild yeast. Not my favorite style unfortunately but not terrible. Was expecting a little more from an anniversary brew.
