COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For 14 wonderful years, we have been creating libations for ourselves in the hope that some others out there would share our eccentric palates and support us. Many thanks to all of you who do! Here is yet another quirky brew: a very dark and different, dry-hopped ale. Style? hard to say, you decide. Just expect massive molasses maltiness, limitless fruits on the nose and an imposing floral & zesty dry-hop finish. Peace to all and follow your dreams!

fiulijn (10383) - Como, ITALY - AUG 15, 2007
Dark brown color; creamy head. Nice aroma, not too strong, balanced, perfumy, where some nice hop preveals over the sweet caramel; in a short while the hop increases. Medium thick mouthfeel, quite oily, with strong malt/caramel flavor, some sugars, just balanced by an equally strong hopping. The final is less hop-aromatic than expected, maybe even less long (or is it the caramel to be too much?). But very good indeed (hedonistic).

Bottled at RBESG ’07. Clear dark brown. Cinnamon and grapefruit aroma. Sweet and solidly malty with full body. Salty and very hoppy. Intensely flavourful and with in your face bolf flavours that leaves no doubt it’s an American beer.

Dark brown body, small tan head, chocolate in the nose. Malty, chocolate, spicy, somewhat hoppy, hides the alcohol well.

Poured a mostly clear very dark amber color with a beige head. Spicy and smokey phenols in the aroma. Some choclate notes as well. The flavor is sweet, fruity, spicy and roasty. The body is medium to full with some alcohol warmth. Somewhat dry finish.

My first thought with my first sip was: "What an interesting and strange brew!" A lot of the flavors I just can’t put my finger on. Is it rye? The molasses is definetly there - a strong wheatiness and pleasant hoppiness. It really tastes pretty strong. Not much sweetness - in fact, pretty dry finish. There are pleasant cocoa-notes that you pick up here and there. Good.

Dark brown color with a thin head. Lots of vanilla and oak in the aroma with a little coffee. Bone dry malt body with massive wood and coffee flavors. The hops do not stand out as themselves, but as an overall dryness. Surprisingly good.

Bottle: Copper mahogany, nose of light spice, ethanol and cinnamon/allspice. Nice floral malty notes. The finish is smooth, creamy, and a bit brash.

(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of boboski. Pours a beautiful, warm chestnut brown with a tint of red and a dense, beige head leaving some laces. The aroma is rich with sweetish, burned caramel. Quite a full body with about a ton of roasted malt and and again these accents of sweetish, burned caramel. Solid if not exactly overwhelming bitterness. 150807

Bottle from Capones sampled with Mad_indian. Pours dark with a small beige head. Aroma of fruit, roast, spices, alcohol, and hops. The flavor is smooth, spices, fruit, roast, some chocolate, and grassy hop finish.

Neat color - initially looks like a dark brown, but further review reveals a deep, dark red color. Light tan head. Musky anise and allspice aroma, with a bit of earthy hoppiness. Spiciness up front in the taste, with anise, cocoa, roast, and alcohol flavors all present. Moderate heat in the finish. A real nice brew, could use some softer edges, but still good.
