From 2010 notes. Pours deep reddish/brown with a light brown head that goes to a nice ring. Smell is rich cocoa, deep dark malt, orange. Taste is Cocoa, light citrus, ash, dark fruit. I get cherry on the aftertaste then finishing dry. Medium body, fairly active carbonation...pretty creamy.

Thanks to Ted from Avery for sharing at WhipIn. Aroma is dark fruit and cherries. Pours an opaque blackish brown with a none lasting off whitehead. The taste has a smooth sweet fruit quality. Raisins, cherries and dark fruit. Medium- full body with soft carbonation. Overall, this was a pleasure to drink. Would be a great after dinner sipper.

Sample at Falling Rock Beer Tasting with Dr. Bill on 10/13/2012. The beer pours a dark reddish-brown color with a medium light beige head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. The aroma is dark fruits and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of raisins, roasted malt and chocolate. The finish is sweet with a molasses and malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall

Bomber from IrishBoy. Pours very dark brown with a creamy/bubbly tan head. Aroma is a bit of oxidation with a lot of treacle. Full bodied. Flavor has some oxidation, but there’s a lot of dark fruit, treacle and roast malt. It is finishing just off dry, and not too bitter. Still it’s tempting to say dry and bitter. The post-finish suggests cola. This ale has aged really well. Quite delicious.

Not sure if it was my fault or what, but this thing gushed. Maybe just shaken up. Pours really dark red with four fingers tan head, bunch of sediment too. Smell is like a barleywine but lighter, coco, malt, red fruit, really complex, taste is a bit stale, but very complex, bitter, coco, espresso, molasses, some fruit flavor too, interesting beer for sure.
