22 oz bottle. Dark brown with red tints and a thin beige coating. Nose is chocolate, banana and caramel. medium body with a tang. taste is chocolate, dates, wheat and burnt sugar. Smells great but the flavor is a bit of stale; not surprising considering the age.

Bomber shared with 17thfloor. Pours a deep hazy brown with a small creamy light cream colored head. Aroma is very sharp roasted malts over a caramel and nutty note. Definitely a vinegar note and a sharp boozy overripe fruity character. Flavor starts with a caramel candy sweetness, toffee, nutty, dark roasted malts, more of the overripe fruit and a sharp winey note along with the acidity. Medium body and a sharper carbonation. Interesting aged beer, I wonder what it tasted like fresh, hmmmmmm

Bomber thanks to funkybrewster. Pours a dark unclear chocolaty color with a small dense very light tan frothy head. Hello acetobactar, brown sugar and acetic acid, varnish, alcohol, boooooze. Flavor of dark chocolate tootsie roll, vinous, great oxidation notes, cherry, light dark fruits, some roast towards the finish, the acidity is mild, finishes fairly off-dry, new to me. Medium bodied, fine fizzy carbonation, sizzle consistent with the infection. Cool beer, would have loved to try one a few years ago.

Bomber. Aged just over four years. Dark brown with small tan head. Aroma is toffee, molasses boozy, sweet dark chocolate, lots of roast, darker breads, earthy tones, raisin and other dried fruits. Taste is molasses cocoa booze with light roast in back. Roasted dried fruit finish goes dry and sticks long on tongue. Light nutty character. Sweetness is toned down. Great brew.

Bottle, probably around 4 years old at this point. Pours deep deep reddish brown with a thin head. Sweet dark fruits and banana in the aroma, with a hint of spices and a light sherry-like oxidation. The flavor also shows a little bit of oxidation, but overall, this has held up well for a 4 year-old beer, and I don’t mind a little oxidation in older beers like this. Some dark fruity sweetness, toasted bread, light chocolate notes, and a hint of booze. Nice, I bet this was really good at about 1 year.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 arrogantb (901) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 12, 2010
22oz bomber with a Rocky Mountain Goat on it. Color was dark brown with a tan head when poured into my weizen glass. The smell was a little banana and cloves. The taste was also slightly banana with some bread and caramel coming into play. Nice beer but I am unfamiliar with the style. Alcohol was very well hidden.

Had on tap at Jackie O’s Anniversary Party. Was actually given this beer for free. That always makes it better, no? I love them sweet and malty so this one was a keeper. Sweety flavors of vanilla, brown sugar and toast. Slight hop finish. Loved it.
