COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Another year and our best yet. Twelve glorious years total! Thanks guys and gals! As you’ve probably noticed, along the way we’ve developed quite a fetish/addiction for Belgian-style brews. Here’s another style we’ve been craving to concoct - an intricate Saison, full of zesty citrus and spicy notes paired with a subtle herbaceous essence. Brewed with Rocky Mountain water, malted barley, imported Belgian malted wheat, sweet orange peel, lemon peel, grains of paradise, chamomile, lavender, hops, and Belgian yeast.

Light gold color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is orange. assorted fruits with a touch of must and leather. A medium bodied saison. Malts are fruity , orange, pineapple, peaches. Bright yeasts. Lots of spices, coriander and pepper. Sharp carbonation, lots of very small Champagne like bubbles. Very noticeable taste of must in the forefront that gets balanced by a nice overall sweetness. Then there is a very noticeable hoppy floralness sneaks in at you. Interesting beer, this one will improve with bottle aging. Nice crisp dry aftertaste. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

thx to beerguy101 for this one Clear golden with a foamy white head, for me, both the flavor and aroma had a lot of mushrooms in them. it didn’t work for me. not what I’d expect in a saison.

Bottle from eyedrinkale. Pours a hazy bright yellow with white fizzy head. Smells peppery, spicy, and lemony. Mouth is lemony, spicy and hoppy

22 oz Bottle: Cloudy light gold pour, diminishing white head, good carbonation. Pepper spice aromas with sweet herbs and garden flower notes. Flavor is light and spicy up front, with the sweeter fruits and candy hints up next.

Very clear yellow pour, scant head. Pine citris aroma, taste was light, mouth feel was light also. Thanx to miabock.

Only a slight haze toward the end of the bottle, otherwise a clear light golden liquid with a taller white head. Heavy aromas of floral perfume, hints of pale malt, lime zest, wheat, ginger, and some not quite ripe fruit. Fairly zippy on the palate, but enough body to help keep things in place. Heavy fruit, herb and spice cocktail. Reminds me of a mix of key lime pie and a pina colada. There are some pale malt flavors and alcohol hidden in the background. Reminds me a bit of Stone 04.04.04. The spices will definitely mellow with age and should present a more balance brew.

Bottle, from Julio’s. Sage, ginger, lavender, citrus and that roast turkey that MullMan mentions, that’s wild, Clean orangy gold color, small to no head. Sweet spicy flavors, All the spice that’s mentioned on the description with a lite wheat bread malt backbone. Thick body, creamy oily mouthfeel, litely spicy, crisp finish. The turkey thing is crazy. I like it even though I usually don’t think of myself as a saison kind of guy. Fun beer

thanks to maibockaddict for bringing this to jimmack’s. aroma was of citrus with pine and nuts, reminded me alot of the junipers in heavyweight juhlia. color was pretty lame, very pale yellow color, looked alot like miller light, head was fizzy. flavor was much like the aroma, alot of pine and spices, but not very rich with the malts that are part of the description. the tail end was very bitter, the only place the hops made an appearance, with some spices included. very boring for a saison, not something i really want to drink again.
