COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Another year and our best yet. Twelve glorious years total! Thanks guys and gals! As you’ve probably noticed, along the way we’ve developed quite a fetish/addiction for Belgian-style brews. Here’s another style we’ve been craving to concoct - an intricate Saison, full of zesty citrus and spicy notes paired with a subtle herbaceous essence. Brewed with Rocky Mountain water, malted barley, imported Belgian malted wheat, sweet orange peel, lemon peel, grains of paradise, chamomile, lavender, hops, and Belgian yeast.

A hazy orange beer with an off-white head. The aroma is very fruity and spicy with notes of peaches, cinnamon, and ginger. The flavor is sweet with notes of ginger, juniper berries, violet, and nutmeg, leading to a dry end.

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2007 (Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of fiulijn. Hazy, golden with a white head. Weird aroma of cinnamon, citrus and diacetyl. Medium body, dry yet with an underlying sweetness. Very spicy accents, cardamom and citrus - and bath salt! Dry and bitter finish. But quite interesting. I’m not much of a Saison lover, but when it has to be I tend to find the American ones a lot more drinkable than the Belgians. 230407

Sample from bottle. Pours unfiltered yellow with a white head. Aroma is strong spicy. Flavour is strong cardemomme. too dominated by this, this gets cloying, soapy.

Bottled@FatPhil&oh6gdx EBF-warmup cruise. Slightly hazy golden colour with small white head. Aroma is pumpkin, coconut and lots of other spices/herbs. Flavour is pumpkin, spices, coconut and also quite evident notes of alcoholic sweetness. A rather sweet pumpkin pie-like brew.

UPDATED: SEP 6, 2005 Bottled. Clear golden, brief head. Aroma of soap, lavender and cinnamon. Sweet with clean, hard mouthfeel. There’s loads of sugar and soem oranges. Lacks the liveliness of a real saison. Salty finish. Pleasantly spicy, but with simplistic malt structure.

clear dark yellow, big creamy white head that settles down into a nice fine head after leaving a bit of drippy lace behind, big ginger aroma with a hint of cinimon and/or nutmeg, smooth creamy body, well spiced malt flavor, nice ginger bite, spiced more like a winter warmer than a saison but on the light malt character of a saison

Cloudy blond color. The aroma ha some citrus touch, and a sharp cardamom character; it smells to much like Swedish cakes. Quite dry mouthfeel, malt flavor, little residual sugars, a lot of spices. It’s drinkable, but the spices are too much for me.

Beige, cloudy. Explosive aroma of ginger, chamomile, florals, yeast, poached pears and brown sugar. Intense, blazing spices (anise and pepper), sublime florals, enough malt body and muscular alcohol to bring it all together. A crazy, interesting brew clearly inspired by the esoteric Fantome brews.

(Bottle) Pours a lightly cloudy yellow body with a medium-sized white head. Aroma of the outdoors in the country of a spring morning, spicy yeast, banana, florals, cloves, white grapes, apple, citrus, and urine. Flavor pumpkin spice, banana bread, and lemon.
