What else? What else would you expect from us, a bunch of severely hop obsessed brewers, to celebrate such a glorious occasion? Anything other than a massively hopped IPA would be an affront to our rich history of loving excessive use of that beautiful flower, Humulus Lupulus.
1993-2013. 20 years of brewing excellence. To all who have played a part in creating such a vibrant and quality conscious culture, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts and pint glasses!!
Availability: Bottled in May 2013. One and done.

Pours golden with an off white head. Aroma is citrus fruit, piney resin, and some sweet malt. Flavor is citrus, peach, good bit of biscuity and caramel malt.

"When they say "what else?" I have to scratch my head. We actually wondered why a place that already makes one of the best IIPAs on the planet would make a beer for a 20th AV that is almost certainly going to be the lesser of the two. Sometimes it sucks to be right. Maharaja pees better beer than this. I don’t know how it’s a 99 on RB. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it, but it’s inferiority to Maharaja (and even Dugana, and hell...I think their standard 6-pack IPA) is obvious. Why do that for a 20th AV celebration? Anyway, golden pour, nice hop aroma and flavor, decent bitterness, grapefruit peel and light spice. Bittersweet finish. Nice on it’s own, just not up to par. At 9% and not getting any younger, definitely a one timer."

From notes, consumed 8/1/2013. 22 oz bottle poured into a tulip. Amber/orange with a finger of off-white head. Great lacing. Aromas of pine, resin, toasty notes, light booze, caramel. Tastes of malt, caramel, pine, resin, grapefruit citrus. Medium body with a dry and warm finish.

What a delicious hop-head beer! Glad I was able to taste what is now a retired hoppy beer!

Pours a nice clear golden color with white head. Pine, floral notes, and citrus on the nose; follow onto the palate. Had a good mouthfeel, full-bodied. Finishes pretty clean.

Bottle. Aroma has notes of citrus and spicy pine hops. Good caramel malt backbone. Medium hazy orange hue with a white head that mostly diminished and left good lace. Flavor is very sweet and bitter. Palate is full bodied and oily with a soft carbonation. Overall a very good IIPA. Enjoyed it.

Bottle. The pour is a vibrant orange. Drinking this a little late, so not sure how it will taste. The aroma is sweet inviting hops. The taste is smooth, still good hop presence. No bitterness that lingers. Very good iipa. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Pale and sweet honey malts, with floral hops, and light citrus. Too much of a sweet malty presence, and the hops come across old and subdued. Blech.

22oz bottle thanks to ditmier. Pours out a hazy golden topped with a cream head. Nose is sweet malts candy and a nice hop note. Taste is as the nose with lots of sweetness some hop and a touch of bitterness on the end.
