Sampled at the brewpub. It pours a hazed medium amber color with a medium head, off white frothy head. Aroma of caramel. some toasted grain, biscuit, mild of cracker notes. Somewhat hoppy with floral and citrus notes. Apparent funk notes in the aroma. Flavor is fairly sweet, some strong acidic and funky notes. Light texture with medium mouthful. Finishes funky. Nice.

Aroma is a bit sweet, little sour and a bit of funk. Slight peppery Cabernet smell as well. Taste is a tad more on the sweet side than sour, but some great sour flavors as well. Very different from salvation, but in a great way. Not too pucker sour, but enough to balance the sweet. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the brewery. Pour is hazy, glowing orange with a small white head and good lacing. Big brett, pineapple, orange zest, tannin, peach skin, light oak, apricots, and spice in the aroma. Taste is sour fruit peel, orange, grapefruit juice, peach skin, tannin, white grapes, pears, and green apples with a medium sour finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Hard to believe its 10% ABV, I dig it.

Draught. Beautiful oak and funk nose, light pineapple, rubber brett character, peach, and background floral notes. Bright orange with a thin head and beautiful lacing. Wonderful depth of flavors. Tinges of rubbery brett through everything. Fruity, loads of pineapple and citrus. Totally balanced. Minor sweet component. Dry palate with spicy finish.

Avery tap room 9/22/09. Aroma; faint floral, great aroma slight smell of freshly opened plastic toys/peachy floral perfume. Taste; Oh my god! sweet tarts, beautiful brett provides sensation like licking 9 volt, fizzy Sprite soda, sour lime. (normally brett is labeled as horsey but this is froggy/pond scum.)

On tap at Stone Sourfest. Pours with a hazy golden body and a small white head. Aroma of leather, horse hair, brett, lemon and pineapple. Taste is somewhat sweet up front, with lemon, pineapple, apricot and exotic fruits. Medium to light carbonation. Would love it if Avery bottled some of their sours other than Brabant.
