Draught, Boulder Strong Ale Fest, Apr 08. Head is mostly diminishing. Body is hazy medium to dark yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain, cookie), lightly hoppy (flowers), moderately yeasty (horseblanket, barnyard), with notes of gum, lemon zest, wood, and band-aid. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic. Quite a bit of Brett character woven into the other characters, which make this quite enticing to the nose. Very neat experiment!

On tap. Poured a lightly hazy golden-orange color with a moderate fizzy white head that left some lacing. Aroma of barnyard, brett, funk, some citrus, and a hint of wine. Flavor starts out with a nice dry, cobweb flavor with light citrus and funk that leads into a nice tart brett finish with hints of wine grapes and oak. Spritzy and full on the palate. Definitely something I wish Avery would bottle.
