Hazy yellow gold pour with a white head that recedes fairly quickly. Aroma is light and delicate but complex. Tart & perfumy with hints of pear, honeydew and hay. On the palate - tart up front slowly transitioning to a dry, light, clean finish. I love how even though it’s over 10% ABV you can’t really detect it. Very subtle. Another great beer from Avery.

great aroma, barnyard tart, clear and clean golden color, a light tartness, some wine characters, had this one a few months ago on the release date but it seems better with some age, the tartness is coming out more as i recall

rhialistic (156) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 11, 2012
Pours a rich, clear, gold with a thin white head and champagne-like effervescence. Nose is distinctly that of a slightly grassy oaked chardonnay with a good dose of brett and apricot notes. Light bubbles on the tongue, taste begins sweet and clear with notes of pineapple and spreads into a slightly sour yet buttery chardonnay-beer. Finishes with a tart pear flavor. Fascinating blend. Very glad I have 5 more of these.

emacgee (4009) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - MAY 24, 2012
Pours a clean and bright straw yellow with a very minimal head. nose shows lots of funky and vinous notes. Acidity and esters are pretty clean and there is a definitive raw grape must with some fruity notes. Has more body than expected. Very nice acidity. Lots of vinous character with a prominent fruitiness. Lightly tannic.
