Bottle @ Oakquinox 2013. Amber colored pour with a white head. Really nice tartness to the nose. Big fruit character of raspberry and grape. Nice wine, a bit of raspberry jam, hints of balsamic vinegar, and lactic acidity. A bit of oak and grass, too. Very good raspberry flavor. Tons of grape and red wine, balsamic vinegar, and sweet, fruity jam. Lemon zest, grass, oak, and a nice dry finish.

Bottle. Poured a clear ruby color with an average fizzy off-white head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate to heavy sour fruit and tannic wood aroma. Medium to full body with a dry smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sour & sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet & sour finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer for style.

Bottle received from Ratman, thanks! Pours clear ruby with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is raspberry, funky and barnyard yeast, Cabernet vinous notes, oak, light currant and cherry. Flavor is bright and tart raspberry and Cabernet grapes, lightly charred oak, cookie malt, no hops or bitterness, light earthy yeast and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Bottle... Blazer’s low-key O-Town Throwdown 2012This beer rocks!… Clear burnt-amber pour with a mid-sized, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. The aroma promises acidic, funky, vinous, fruity and toasted oak notes. Full-bodied and creamy with laid-back carbonation. The flavor and finish deliver on the nose’s promise in that both are fruity, vinous, oaken and sour as Hell. There may be more eloquent ways to describe it, but why waste words and time when you can really drive a point home? World class beer!

Bottle @ home picked up at Mile High Denver. Pours a hazy maroon appearance with a pinkish head that dissipates fairly quickly. Tangy raspberry, a bit herbal/woody, bubbly, slightly red vinous, a bit tannic aroma. Moderately tart, a bit juicy, rich Cabernet, a bit strong, vanilla, woody, somewhat funky, rich raspberry flavor that finishes tart, dry, and vinous. Slight acidic afterburn like some of the Avery sours but not bad. Mostly just raspberries and red wine but it is easy drinking and tasty.
