No. 15, much like a certain fabled two-piece candy bar of our youth, rich, dark chocolate notes accented with aromatic toasted coconut. What would add depth and character to this already delicious combo, we wondered? The answer is time (6 months) well spent in the very best rum barrels available.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2014 Poured from bottle to snifter. Dark hue with tan head. Aroma is chocolate, coconut, vanilla, sweet rum, caramel. Mouthfeel is great with full body and good carbonation. Taste is sweet throughout with a slight tannic following and ethanol finish. Overall this is an absolutely fantastic brew.

Bottle @ 10K + OT. Thanks for sending this my way, Aaron. Muddy dark brown pour with little to no head. Smells like chocolate syrup, fudge, raisin, rum, and vanilla. Light coconut, roast, and wood. Really, really sweet tasting. Quite syrupy and very low carbonation. Hershey’s syrup, rum, raisins, and a hint of coconut. Quite a bit of vanilla. A touch of Mrs. Butterworth’s, too.

12oz bottle in a snifter. Pour dark brown with small, beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malts, light coconut, rum barrels, and light toffee. Flavor the same with a decent blend. Average to smoother texture. A cool beer but not as good as I was hoping for.

Dark brown color almost no head. Deep aroma of chocolate with coconut, alcohol. Full bodied, extra sweet, with partial balance given by the strong alcohol presence; strong raisins, some nuts, spirit (rum), touch of coconut.
Nice drink, very strong, not graceful but pleasing.

12oz bottle, thanks Aaron! Pours a deep, dark brown color with a tan head and some coconut floaties. Aroma is boozy, nutty, chocolate. Heavy, syrupy on the palate with light carbonation. Flavor is sweet, very sweet, vanilla, rum, chocolate, some light coconut, not much, but a little, with a sweet, boozy finish. Very tasty.
