4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, February 15, 2014. After some time in the cellar it’s taken a more vinous port-like character, the coconut is barley noticeable and the rum notes are more subtle. This bottle had some of the coconut flakes in it as well. It’s past it’s peak.
Bottle on release day. Pours brown with a small tan head. Aroma is is a very nice mix of rum and chocolate, vanilla, oak, dark fruits and light coconut. Taste follows with sweet rum, chocolate, vanilla dark fruits. Full bodied with low carbonation.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Shared with jrob21. thanks wchesser for sending this a while back. A must share beer. The booze is heavily present in a super sweet raisin soaked rum, big caramel sweetness. Just stays on this good side of being too much. In my 4 oz sample I rather enjoyed it.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Big aroma of rum and some coconut. Taste is similar but a bit close to cloyingly sweet, good with the small pour.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma of dog food. Slight oak and cocoanut and chocolaye like a box of Samoas. Pours black with good carb but no head. Taste is coconut rum, oak, spiced rum, and brown sugar. Super sweet and very boozy. Treat this like a cordial.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Black pour, slight tan head. Little pieces of white coconut floaters. Aroma is coconut and cane sugar. Lots of coconut, like sun tan oil. A bit of underlying rum. Taste is coconut, chocolate, and rum. Like others have said it is the a alcoholic mounds bar. Very sweet. Im talking dark lord levels of sweetness. Good stuff, but very strong. Slowly sip this one with a friend.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 3/20
Poured like black sewage water. Aromas of baby shit. Taste was nothing but cloyingly sweet dumpster juice. Finished hot and sweet with a burn. Not good, my brothers. Not good.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours deep brown with almost magenta tinge. Slick on top, maybe some very small floaters. Nose of booze, rum, vanilla. Taste is hot booze, very sweet, finish of milk chocolate, rum, and a hint of toasted coconut. Really does taste like taking a bite of Mounds and doing a shot of rum. Split the bottle two ways for dessert, but 4 would have been better. Too sweet and hot for me.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Scott - thanks! Murky dark molasses brown pour with a thin scattering of tan foam. Aroma is overwhelmingly sweet with brown sugar, molasses, dense and sweet malt, some lingering alcohol vapors, and some rum. If there’s coconut, I cannot find it. Taste is as expected with dense, sugary sweet malt and raisin with sugared molasses and booze. Coating mouthfeel. Over the top sweet.
