An artful and massively acidic blend of two major projects and further enhanced with several orphan barrels from the corners of our barrel aging cellar. All ale involved was barrel aged for a minimum of 8 months and a maximum of 24 months.

Hazy red brown pour with an off white head that fades down to a ring. Strong vinous and berry jam aroma with wood and a bit toffee also. Taste is tart berries, wood, red wine, earthy, and lightly acetic. Soft on the palate with a slight prickle of carbonation. Nice sour.

Bottle snagged at Mr. B’s on my trip to Denver. Apr. 7, 2014 bottle poured on July 25, 2014 as the first beer in a 3 beer BA sour ale tasting for myself to celebrate the last day of my 20s. Pours dark brownish red with very little light showing through and a small quickly fizzing off white head. Aroma is lightly sour, lots of chewy oak, vinous red wine, black cherries and currants. Flavor is lightly sour, big vinous notes, definite oud bruin influence, some black cherry, lingering oak, really nice. Medium bodied with nice crisp carbonation, juicy up front, and a lightly dry finish. This is excellent. It reminds me of Consecration, but is much lighter and easy to drink. My first sour from Avery and I am impressed.

Very dark reddish-brown with a bubbly cream colored head. Aroma full of sour cherry and oak with notes of plum and cake. Some fruity sweetness, but mostly tons of delicious, and quite sour, barrel and sour fruits, and just a little sweet fruitiness. Medium bodied, dry, with moderate carbonation. Excellent. If only I had a bigger bottle...

Bottle thanks to agentzigzag! Pours cloudy hazel with reddish hue, small bubbly tan head dissipates quickly with some lacing. Aroma is vinous, tart cherry, oak, malts. Flavor is dry, medium tart, oaky, malty, tart cherry, lemon, vanilla, almost a bourbon finish. Medium body, lingering tartness. Pretty tasty.

Cherry, oak, charr, vanilla & some fruity pebbles all in the nose. Flavor is tart cherry and oxidized malt. No head, decent CO2. This is just what I expected when I opened up the bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Strongly acidic and funky. Notes and aroma of cherries, oak, and lactic. Almost like sweet tarts. Biting, definitely a sipper.

Pours deep mahogany into a tulip. Off-white head with little retention recedes to skim surface. Sour cherry and oak aromas. Sharp and tart with cherry and oak front to back. Abrupt whisper dry finish.
