An artful and massively acidic blend of two major projects and further enhanced with several orphan barrels from the corners of our barrel aging cellar. All ale involved was barrel aged for a minimum of 8 months and a maximum of 24 months.

Pouring at Sour’d in September 2014, at Captain Lawrence. Pours a faintly hazed brown with a thin to medium sized tanned beige head. Cherry, wood, soft acid on the nose. Medium bodied, sweet and tangy. Medium acid, tart wheat. Sweet chewy acid and tangy. Smooth finish.

UPDATED: JAN 26, 2015 12 oz. bottle, pours a dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma is very complex, with red wine barrels, various wild bacteria, some wood, balsamic and prominent acidity. Flavour matches, with loads of complexity from the various wood, including red wine barrels and oak in general, wild yeast, and medium acidity that is well-suited. Very dynamic and cohesive. Masterful blend here; however, the acidity starts to irritate the throat after a while. Still, excellent very slow sipper.

Bottle. Pours amber with a beige head. Moderate acidity throughout, with some woody notes, light funky notes, fruity berry-like notes, and a sharp tart finish. Not bad.

Sour smell. Generic sour brown taste with a bit of general wine taste to it. Good, but nothing fantastic.

Bottle shared in Hoboken. Pours mostly clear amber with a creamy, off-white head. The nose has tart berries, leather, wood. Light to medium sweet flavor, fairly acidic, with further tart berries, lemons. Medium bodied with fine, spritzy carbonation. Tart, cleansing finish with more lemons and leathery berries. Pretty nice.

12 ounce bottle shared by jackl, 11/19/14. Pours a clear copper with a thin creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of tart wine, pepper, funk, cherries, candied lemon. The taste is tart cherries, red wine, lemon, candied lemon and a strong tannic note. Medium bodied, strong lingering tartness. 200th sour ale!

I like it a lot. ... Aroma is woody, nutty, sharp and cherrys. Taste is acetic acid, wood, berry fruitiness, and a bit of booze which is strange for such a low abv. Good beer though.

Hazy Amber chestnut, thin beige ring, oily cap. Nutty wood and plums in nose front, stinging green acids before light plastic and grains mid, rich and juicy with tons of heat across the finish.
