Bottle. Pretty auburn with fizzy tan dissipating head and no lacing. Smells like an old fashioned with some sour cherries. Tastes like an old fashioned layered over a sour- both things going on at once in parallel. Both light and medium and a little warming, but kind of refreshing and lively, too.

Bottle. It pours hazy deep amber with a small beige head. Loads of ripe cherry in this. Also wood, oak and vinous notes. The malt is very present with a good sweetness to balance the dry brett. The flavor has a great oaky feel with lots of cherries and almonds. The quite high abv is hardly felt. This is awesome!!

Bottle Stone Sour Fest. Tart cherries, tannins, mild malty sweetness. Quite sour, as is par for the Avery wild ales I’ve tried.

the brett is there and obvious, but not so overpowering that the oaky complexity of the zin barrels can;t come through. and most of the tartness is more of the sour cherry variety. one of avery’s best and another awesome beer!! in the upper tier of sour ales."

Pours slightly hazy cherry mahogany, quick dissipating head. Smell tart, bretty funk, vinegar and horse, bit of wood Taste is fruity up front, bit of cranberry tart in the middle, sweet oaky finish. Wine quality is very light. Medium body. Decent

Taster poured at Avery taproom for GABF. Pours a clear orange red color. Very little head. Cherry flavor is very present. Definitely has a fruity flavor. Beer is quite sweet with some sour flavors. Pretty Delicious overall.

Tap at Avery. Pours a clear maroon red with rapidly settling off -white head, no lacing. Aroma is mild to moderate tart, acidic, mildly oaky and cherry. Flavor is tart, cherry, berry, fruit candy, pixie sticks, sweet and sour cherry. Interesting flavor, one of the fruitiest sours I’ve tried, almost wonder if the cherries are past their prime, ultimately a bit cloying. Moderate carbonation, crisp texture, and mildly dry finish. Another good sour.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. This is cherry and cinnamon. Old, well aged beer. Interesting how this has matured.

Exclusive pour at Avery's during GABF 2013. The pour itself was orangeish- amber. Light colored head. The sour aroma is quite strong. The sour flavor is quite sweet and the cherry takes over. Pretty oaky. Overall a good sour, not the top of my list.
