Bottle. Pretty auburn with fizzy tan dissipating head and no lacing. Smells like an old fashioned with some sour cherries. Tastes like an old fashioned layered over a sour- both things going on at once in parallel. Both light and medium and a little warming, but kind of refreshing and lively, too.

Pours slightly hazy cherry mahogany, quick dissipating head. Smell tart, bretty funk, vinegar and horse, bit of wood Taste is fruity up front, bit of cranberry tart in the middle, sweet oaky finish. Wine quality is very light. Medium body. Decent

Taster poured at Avery taproom for GABF. Pours a clear orange red color. Very little head. Cherry flavor is very present. Definitely has a fruity flavor. Beer is quite sweet with some sour flavors. Pretty Delicious overall.

Tap at Avery. Pours a clear maroon red with rapidly settling off -white head, no lacing. Aroma is mild to moderate tart, acidic, mildly oaky and cherry. Flavor is tart, cherry, berry, fruit candy, pixie sticks, sweet and sour cherry. Interesting flavor, one of the fruitiest sours I’ve tried, almost wonder if the cherries are past their prime, ultimately a bit cloying. Moderate carbonation, crisp texture, and mildly dry finish. Another good sour.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. This is cherry and cinnamon. Old, well aged beer. Interesting how this has matured.

Exclusive pour at Avery's during GABF 2013. The pour itself was orangeish- amber. Light colored head. The sour aroma is quite strong. The sour flavor is quite sweet and the cherry takes over. Pretty oaky. Overall a good sour, not the top of my list.

Bottle, consumed by my lonesome to the dome. Pours a spritzy light brown with soft pink hues. You could hear the pop-rocks fizz leaving the bottle and forming on top of the beer. The small white layer immediately dissolved away leaving a rather unimaginative image, no lacing, medium legs. Aroma is somewhat lactic, very light funk, lots of tart cherry, raspberry, some woody vinous quality as well. Taste follows the aroma for the most part - lots of cherry and dark grape, some raspberry, earthy, wood, peppery spice with a dry sour bite. You could really pick up on the zin barrel aging here with the spicy dry finish. A little thin with not much malt profile, but doesn’t interrupt the fruit flavor. High carbonation, dry mouth, spicy finish. Unfortunately I haven’t tried the beer fresh to see how it aged. Overall about your average sour.

All of the first 10 from the series were shared by craftbeerdesign. Muddy orange pours. Lots of apple, pear, cherry, oak, light berry, brett. Super dry. Very, very nice.

12oz bottle. Pale rust with no head. Light sourness, malty, some chardonnay and old tart cherry, oak. Low carbonation, moderate body, vinous, makes me think of a flanders brown aged in wine barrels, more chardonnay on the finish for sure with a nice crisp and clean ending on the palate that make you pucker slightly.
