3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle shared by jay. Pours a clear light amber copper with a thin filmy head and spotty lace. Aroma is chemical, nutty, acetone, solvent, fusel, cherry and cherry pit off cyanide, with rat poison and woody hnts. Flavor is cherry pit, spfruity skins, earth, leather wood, medium to high acisity hints of aceto creeping in. Watermelon rind, ligth boozy, solvent, acetone, and strong finish. Big sour beer is too boozy and off the wall woth too many off flavors and smells. Meh.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, shamefully forgot who sent it to me :(. Pours hazy red amber with TONS of floaties, small beige head that dissipates quickly with some lacing. Aroma is tart cherry, oak, vanilla, funk, perhaps a touch of turpentine. Flavor is the same, fruity and woody, vinous almost bourbon-like barrel notes. Initially sweet, then dries out quickly to a very dry finish. Only lightly tart, with just a tiny bit of funk present and light astringence. Medium body, oily mouthfeel. ABV is quite well hidden. For me all sours of this class are held up to RR Supplication, and this one stands up quite well. Kudos to Avery!

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Couldnít wait any longer to open this. Opaque, reddish plum pour, orangey highlights. A little tan head. Huge oak tannins on the nose, cabernet grape, hint of raspberry, citric zest. Big tartness up front gives way to blackberry, raspberry, musty basement, chewy root. Massively dry finish. Complex and challenging.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
All of the first 10 from the series were shared by craftbeerdesign. Mostly clear brown orange pour. Tart and sour red/tannin nose. Sweeter, tannic, fruity, lemon a bit, wine grape skins. Super crazy dry with a long tart finish. REally nice.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at Sourfest. Darker than I expected in the pour. Medium head. Aroma was more lacto sour with some belgian spices here. Sourness in the taste was again more lacto and some deep dark malts. From the wine barrel? Mild mouth feel as most Avery sours.
