All of the first 10 from the series were shared by craftbeerdesign. Deep oak and dark cherries/black cherries dominate with big tannins. Not as well intergrated as some of these other, but very pleasent. Earthy and a tad funky.

Bottled. Poured cola brown with a short cap of dark beige head. The aroma picked up sour cherries, jammy fruits (with some Zin character), and figs with strong accents of sour oak barrel, peppery alcohol, and a hint of cherry-infused vinegar.. complex and intriguing. The flavor found sour cherries, vinegar, and oak on the tip of the tongue, and that stuff carried the whole way through.. more vinous, woody, and peppery toward the back-end.. dry, fruity bugs and a bit of oxidation rounded it out.. tasty, but just a hair on the medicinal side. Medium-bodied and assertive on the palate, with low carbonation.. good balance, but a little too skewed toward the barrel.. overall some very good stuff.

chilled 12 oz. brown bottle poured into sample glass, part of a three side-by-side. Pours dark brown with no head. No lacing, medium body, low carbonation, and tart aroma with a hint of soy. Taste is tart, some oak, and a hint of dark malt.

12 ounce bottle thanks to adnielsen awhile back. Pours a dark brown with a grey head of foam. Aroma has notes of cola and malt with a noticeable acidity. Iím getting a nice plum note in this as well. Fairly malt forward, but the sourness does not get lost.

Pours a dark brown with a creamy biege head. Nose is a dark sour with cherry, some vinous notes, and a sweet tartness in the finish. Taste is similar- nice oak, sour cherry, vinous fruit, and tartness. Great beer.

12 oz. bottle, sent from Alen (thanks man), pours a deep dark mahogany / dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is extremely vinous, with strong red wine notes, wild yeast, tart red fruits, and some slight counteracting sweetness. Flavour is extremely complex and vinous, full of red wine barrels, wood tannins, moderately tart red berries, and some moderate wild yeast presence. The red wine barrels are the most prominent flavour characteristic, adding deep layers of complexity. Excellent stuff.

12oz bottle, thanks to adnielsen. Bottled 8/17/11. Dark brown color. Decent thin khaki head. Impressive washes of lace. Nice musty, tart wine-barrel nose. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Great sour, tart woody taste. Good strong tartness, just short of puckering. Iím enjoying the level of sour, makes for a great tasty after-dinner sipper. Just a very light bite in the finish. Red grape skins... Hints of chocolate. Big, tart raspberry flavor. Took me a long time to finish, but I enjoyed every bit of it.

Such a solid series of beers. This one has more dark fruits, tannins, wine, and of course a buttload of sourness.

12oz bottle split two ways (thank God because itís intense). Dark cola color, short fizz if a head and decent lacing. Smells like sour fruit, alcohol and barrel. Tastes like sour fruit, wood, hint of chocolate which I was not expecting and some alcohol. This was very intensely sour and the flavors seemed combative but I still enjoyed it. Served in an Avery goblet. Prune like with some wine notes. Oak and dark fruits. Some tannins. Fairly acidic. Just sour; not complex at all.
