Bottle to snifter (shared by arminjewell). Looks solid; a slightly translucent darm amberish brown with bubbly off-white lacing. Smells solid; nice and vinous with a pleasantly vinous presence that’s discernibly zin by the pepper. Tastes like it smells with some earthiness and a bit of red wine vinegar as well. Mouthfeel is medium full-bodied and pleasant. Tasty stuff.

very wine line and not as sour or acidic as most of the Avery BA project...though it’s likely a several year old bottle. Seemed tamer, with nice tannins, fruit and leather.

(En dégustation au Stone Sour Fest 2015): Union fruitée vineuse impeccable avec des tannins actifs. La quantité d’alcool est adéquate pour la charge des saveurs, on pourrait parler d’un certain équilibre. Elle a fière allure pour son age.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a deep cola brown with almost no head, just some small film spots and a half ring. Aroma of berries, Zinfandel, oak, caramel, molasses, plum, and light notes of soy and cocoa. Flavor of sweet and sour fruit (black cherry, plum, lemon, grapes), sour mash, chocolate, molasses, oak, toffee, and brown sugar. Medium-bodied, with low carbonation and a sour mouthfeel that finishes dry. Good sour. Probably past its peak but has held up well overall.

Bottle thanks to Matt. Pours a cloudy brown with beige head that diminshes to nothing. The aroma is oak, hairspray, and wine. Thin mouthfeel with strong sour fruit and funk with sour finish. Good.
