COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Re-named BA Meph Addict.
Our very own Parker, of the cartoon and cat loving variety, created this cult classic character back in our 17th season. Appearing in several episodes under another stage name that was deemed inappropriate, our executive producers and editors decided that a name change and further character development—a 4-month Hiatus in bourbon barrels—were necessary to satisfy our most ardent and demanding viewers.

On tap @ Strong Ale 2014. Black pour with a finger of tan foam. Woah, smells like bourbon. High boost aroma on this one. Still has a lot of coffee and sort of a spicy whiskey and coffee note to it. A lot of chocolate and fudge. Flavor is kind of harsh in terms of the bourbon and booze character. Lots of coffee, but not as much as the regular version. Hot fudge, roasted malt, and spicy oak and coffee beans.

Bottle from Marcus. Pours very dark brown, very, with a transient extremely dark tan head. Aroma of coffee and bourbon. Full bodied, but it quickly thins as the carbonation leaves. Heat doesn’t seem an issue til it hits the gullet. Flavor is coffee, bourbon, smooth burnt malt, and then heat. But it’s still just a flavor component. It goes pretty chocolate in the long finish. Pretty cool ale!

Bottle. Poured black color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted malt, chocolate, bourbon, woody and small alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a thick rich smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted sweet chocolate bourbon sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet smooth finish of moderate to long duration. Another standout brew.

mcberko (13227) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 14, 2014
12 oz. bottle, pours black with a small brown head. Nose brings out shitloads of coffee upfront, along with bourbon barrels and some light roast. Flavour is complex, with loads of coffee upfront, followed by roasted malt and subdued bourbon. Very complex and rich, and well-balanced. Excellent extreme beer.
