3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Taster at Avery’s. Appearance: average sized off-white head, deep amber red/brown color, clear, good lacing. Aroma: mint, cereal, chocolate, vanilla, roast, nuts. Palate: full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Taste: heavy sweetness the whole way through, tastes like a Girl Scout Thin Mint. Overall, I really enjoyed this beer, it is different and well done, even if it is not the most balanced (too much mint).

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap @ Avery. Typical black body with a dark brown head. Chocolate and pepperminty nose. Flavor is sweet from the chocolate malts with a sizable bitterness. The peppermint flavor is pretty strong and is tasty. Bitter, chocolate minty finish. It even freshened my halitosis!

On tap at the brewery. Substantial peppermint aroma. Very dark brown body with a thin head, very lacey. Chocolate, but mint overpowers.Carbonation right there. Would likely make a good cask. Drinkable but not very drinkable.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
On Tap at Brewery Tap house, pours dark brown/black with tan head. Aroma is similar to a Girls Scout Thin Mint Cookie, chocolate and mint. Taste has slight chocolate and overwhelming fresh earthy mint. Nice as a desert beer, enjoyable but pretty simple and singular.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour on tap at the brewery is dark black with thin off white to almost white head, aroma brought big peppermint notes, some roasted dark chocolate and espresso, hints of other roasted malt as well, slight cookie/bread note as well. Taste reminded me of a thin mint, sweet sugary bread and chocolate notes with a big mint and chocolate note, very slight coffee note, finishes fairly sweet. Not bad.
