Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, roasted, caramel, light to moderate hoppy, grape. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Bottled. An amber beer with a bit of sediment floating around under a thin biege head. The aroma is sweet mlaty with notes of caramel and yeast. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel and yeast.

22 fl oz bottle. Pours almost clear golden orange with a lacing tan head. Aroma is dense hoppy with mild spice notes and seem rather dry. Medium sweet caramel malty base flavour with a solid hoppy fruity flavour on top. Mild wooden notes and lending towards a more spiced palate. Mild spiced finish with a little bite and alcohol warmth.

Bottled. Deep, slightly hazy, amber colour, mediumsized slightly off-white fluffy head. Aroma is caramel malts, some hops, slight notes of grass and overall quite sweet. Flavour is alcohol, caramel malts, some hops and mild notes of spices. A quite nice balance in the flavours.

UPDATED: MAR 30, 2007 Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear dark copper colour, small creamy head. Strong almondy Belgian style yeast aroma. Medium sweet and solidly malty. There’s lots of caramell and almond with notes of coriander and grass as well as cherries. Full bodied with clean mouthfeel. Salty finish. A good beer, but perhaps in this case the concept is more interesting than the beer itself.

Bottle at EBF08. Almost clear chestnut colour. Very small tan head. Fat yeasty aroma, seems Belgian. The flavour has some of the same as aroma, yeasty and Belgian-like.

opaque dark amber, fine lasting beige head, drippy lace, sweet caramel aroma with a nice funky edge, sweet caramel and cherry flavor with a sharp tart edge and complex character from plan nine, cherry pit tartness and woody edge,

dry oak and dark caramel aroma, very creamy melding of the flavors taking off the tart edge seen before, stilll the nice woody character but much more mellow and only a possible hint of any cherry tartness, different beer or from a different barrel

Hazy amber color; creamy head. Delicate aroma, malty, fruity, sweet; quite nice. Powerful body, maybe even a bit too alcoholic, with malt flavor, enough sweetness, too simple on the yeast side. Low bitterness.
