3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A unique, medium-bodied, dark beer with a rum/malt/caramel/dark fruit flavor that goes down amicably. An interesting strong ale that pleases the taste buds and makes itself easy to wash down.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Excellent beer with banana and clove aromas and flavors. The malt character is well integrated to give chocolate notes that help to balance this high gravity brew.

Poured as a taster at local shop. Pours a copper-orange color with off white head. Fruity esters and spice on the nose. Smooth, a touch of sweetness, spice, and malt on the palate. This is quite good.

It has a powerful, yeasty aroma. There may be a bit a plum as well. It pours amber with an orange hue. The head is off white with a few large bubbles and small ones in a medium bodied head. There is the taste of dried fruits and yeast.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
February 2014 bottle to a tulip glass. Pours a sienna/copper color with a fluffy off-white head. Aroma is a big bubble gum smell with some tropical fruit and a hint of peppery spice. Taste is caramel and some light malt with the peppery and spice notes and that distinct Belgian yeast taste. The alcohol is also apparent with a slight astringent taste in the middle. Soft, medium mouthfeel with moderate carbonation.
