Bottle. Excellent sour. Dirty orange pour, minimal head. Nose is apple and cherry. Medium palate. Great taste of mild brett, very mild/controlled tart and sour elements, cherry, some wood, and grape. Really good beer, and very approachable for a sour.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 jcweaver (362) - VA Beach, Virginia, USA - DEC 3, 2011

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 5000 (3998) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - NOV 18, 2011
Bottle:   Reddish caramel, thin spritzy off-white head, fizzles out quickly, sparce lacing.   Tart fruity nose, cherry skin, some wooden aspects too.   Tart unripened fruitiness on the tongue.   Mild sweetness, somewhat dry, with a well hidden 9.59% ABV.   Smooth mouthfeel, moderate body.   This one certainly tastes real, unlike many other examples.   Overall its a tart lightly sweetened unripened like fruity (cherry) flavor with a background of some woodiness.   Good stuff!
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Beershine (4560) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - OCT 9, 2011
Draft @ Avery taproom. Red-orange, a dark but warm hue with slight haze and a nice glow. Not much to no head. Aroma is maturely funky. Sour cherry, including skins and seeds. Drinkable. I can’t believe it has as high an ABV as it does. Excellent wood character is dry, mellow, and mature. Not too acidic. Has a solid Brett + cherries character with undercurrents of funk.
