Lupulin Rapture Incarnate! As fervent devotees of hops, we found ourselves on a quest to create a transcendental IPA capable of quenching our voracious lupulin desires. Our mantra became “unity of bitterness, hop flavor and aroma.” Enlightened, duganA IPA was born: A brutally bitter, dank, piney and resinous ale designed for those seeking a divine hop experience.

Bomber, snifter. Pleasing clean gold color. Mild balance of sweet malt to start. As it warms it becomes more complex. The bitterness increased and the balance of malt and hops with a hint of sweetness impressed my palate. Very interesting!

Honey, flowers, citrus are dominant in the aroma with some notes of pine. Taste is a good mix of malt, grapefruit, pines and honey. Everything is more contrast and explosive compared to, for example, Hardcore IIPA from BrewDog. This beer is really bitter. Every IBU unit is noticeable all the time. But this high bitterness level is not disgusting, but magically pleasant.

Aroma - caramel malts and heavy piney hops, as well as citrus. Appearance - hazed orange body with an off white that reaches high and slowly fades. Good lacing. Taste - the flavor is a sweet caramel malt with a healthy dose of piney hops as well as a blend of citrus. Palate - body is medium, the texture is oily, average carbonation, and a long strong hop bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a cloudy, bright golden-yellow, with minimal head. Lots of carbonation in this one. Aroma smells of apricot or spoiled peaches, with a touch of hops. Flavor is very sweet (almost verging on barley wine sweetness), with apricot/peach, some hops, slight booziness, and a slightly bitter finish. Not particularly piney, dank, or resinous in my experience.

Lasting white foamy head that dissipates to the edge of the glass. Paint stripper aroma. Angry clementines. Not terribly good.

Pours hazy golden color with a small head. Sweet piney caramel aroma, hops are a bit mild, some apricot notes too. Orange on the flavor, resin, malts and apricot. A bit old, low carbonation, decent flavor though.

650 ml bottle. Enjoyed at San Diego, CA. Pours a hazy orange amber colour with a small foamy head. Aroma of sweet orange marmalade, floral notes and biscuit. Flavour is rather sweet and jammy with orange sweetness, herbal notes, English toffee, resin and biscuit. Medium bodied. Low-ish carbonation. Alcohol warms. Bottled about 10 months ago. Re-rate needed from a fresh batch.
