Lupulin Rapture Incarnate! As fervent devotees of hops, we found ourselves on a quest to create a transcendental IPA capable of quenching our voracious lupulin desires. Our mantra became “unity of bitterness, hop flavor and aroma.” Enlightened, duganA IPA was born: A brutally bitter, dank, piney and resinous ale designed for those seeking a divine hop experience.

P: Murky orange with a one finger head. S: Tropical and piney hops, mango puree, and light crystal malt. T: Grapefruit, dank, piney and alcohol. M: Medium body, dry and bitter. O: The alcohol was unpleasant, they do a better job hiding the alcohol in there big fat stouts. I don’t understand this.

Thick head, golden yellow color. Smells vegetal, savory, some musky bread character. Flavor is pine, toffee, bitter resin. Well-balanced complex flavor that sits between sweet and bitter.

Super tropical all around. In my opinion way better than Maharaja. Lots of tropical fruit juice, fresh grapefruit, and intense hop bitterness. Super clean and fresh. As it warms up the aroma and taste just get even better. Definitely recommend this one. cheers.

"large amounts of pine and sweet fruity malts in the aroma. body is big and sticky. taste is big too. bitter pine and a little candy sweetness as well. not as good as the amazing Maharaja, but pretty tasty and aromatic nonetheless."

Smells fruity and floral, big pour, very bitter, well hopped, really dry and powerful at the end, bitter aftertaste, if you like hops, this is a winner, all in all a very solid DIPA, definitely top tier but not elite in my book.

Transfer from BA review on 4-3-12 - Served in a 10 oz chalice glass Appearance – Served a hazy golden-orange color with a moderate white head. The head faded to give a nice lacing. Smell – The smell is a big mix of wonderful aromas. There is a nice sweeter malty flavor that is the base. With the maltiness there are great hop aromas of citrus, pine, and some more floral aromas. Overall very nice. Taste – A slight sweet malt bready flavor meets the tongue. This is mixed with a wonderful more citrusy pine taste. The sweet fades over the taste experience becoming more bitter as the taste goes on. As it bitters, more hop flavors begin showing up. Grapefruit, pine, earthy and a bitter resinous flavor really come into play. They leave a very nice aftertaste on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body is above average; nice and creamy. The carbonation level is on the average level. The creamy body really suits the beer well. It allows all those wonderful tastes to sit and relax on the tongue, but yet has enough carbonation to excite the tongue to just the right amount. Overall – Avery does it again with this IPA. Great qualities all around with a very nice balance. All and all, I would definitely recommend.
