COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lupulin Rapture Incarnate! As fervent devotees of hops, we found ourselves on a quest to create a transcendental IPA capable of quenching our voracious lupulin desires. Our mantra became “unity of bitterness, hop flavor and aroma.” Enlightened, duganA IPA was born: A brutally bitter, dank, piney and resinous ale designed for those seeking a divine hop experience.

Deep golden color out of the bottle with a sticky white head. Thick syrupy sweet nose with hop resin and burnt honey notes. This is a sweet beer with tons of hop resins, candied grapefruit rind and pine. Big malty backbone with a long, pinching bitterness in the finish. Nice IIPA.

The medium bitterness is not overpowering but very solid and long lasting.

Pours a bright gold with a pillowy head, nose is nice. Taste is hops but balanced out with a malt background. Good example of this style but not my favorite.

Bomber. Appearance is a bright gold and rusted orange color with a thick layer of white foam. The smell is potently sweet and floral with lots of orange blossom, ruby red grapefruit, pineapple and hops oil. The taste starts out with an aggressive dose of vegetal, resiny hops and orange citrus in addition to some candied grapefruit peel, tropical fruit and pine. Also a bit of a lightly toasted malt presence in the background. In the body, there’s exactly the right amount of carbonation and alcohol to keep it smooth and balanced. Overall, it’s just as flavorful and complex as The Maharaja with a noticeably lower yet still strong ABV to make it a tad more drinkable.

This was purchased for waching NFL palyoffs. It is a big IPA. The 22oz bottle has a gold foil over the cap. The IPA poured a hazy gold with big bubbles for the head. The piny aroma let’s you know that something is special. The bitter taste from the hops lingers through the finish. Active carbonation with a medium body and bold bitterness. Avery Brewing has earned my respect.

On tap at Rattle N Hum. Dark orange/amber with a finger-wide white head. Aroma is very fruity for a double IPA with notes of apricots, peaches, orange peel, and caramel. Some spruce and grassy notes as well. Flavor is also on the sweet/fruit side but with a nice bitter and hoppy undertone. Sugar and pale malts aftertaste. Cream mouth-feel, medium bodied.

Poured from a 22oz bottle to a tulip glass. The beer pours a nice transparent copper/orange with a big, thick fluffy white head. Great lacing all the way down. The aroma is pretty sweet, apricot all the way, there is also some pine like hop. I get tropical fruit, not so much on the hop resin described on the bottle. Sweet flavors up front, tropical fruit, apricot, a bit of pineapple, bitter finish, nice hops with some citrus rine bitterness. The body is on the fuller side of light with a crisp high carbonation. The flavor sticks around for awhile, very nice. Very nice IPA, not as dry as I’d expect but still very good.

Mildly hazy golden amber light white head ok lacing not much retention to speak of... Big citrus hop aroma, though more piney in the flavor than the aroma would indicate, very nice beer, big flavor, moderately dry finish medium full warming body, somewhat oily...
