Lupulin Rapture Incarnate! As fervent devotees of hops, we found ourselves on a quest to create a transcendental IPA capable of quenching our voracious lupulin desires. Our mantra became “unity of bitterness, hop flavor and aroma.” Enlightened, duganA IPA was born: A brutally bitter, dank, piney and resinous ale designed for those seeking a divine hop experience.

On tap @ Hudson. Pours orange copper with thin creamy off white head. Aroma is sweet orange citrus hops. Taste is mild caramel malt with big juicy citrusy hop finish. Notes of floral pine, grass, and grapefruit. Finishes clean. Milder, juicier, and less boozy than Maharaja. Still nice that Avery commits to two DIPAs year round.

Bottle. Cloudy golden pour with a white head. Aroma is bright and fruity, mango, nectarine, touch of lemon zest. Taste is sweet soft fruit up front, nectarine, peach, orange and lemon zest. Quite nice.

Bottled. Has a cloudy appearance. Has a unique hop taste. At first has a very grassy piney florals taste. Afterwards a smooth creamy taste.

Bomber sized bottle purchased at Elevated in South Mpls. Consumed from a Belgian glass with the Moeder Lambic markings. Very attractive golden orange coloring with a healthy half finger of head. Initial pine aroma with a nice citrus accent. Taste has plenty of piney resin qualities balanced well by a citrus characteristic (orange, tangerine, grapefruit). There seems to be a healthy dose of malty sweetness to this one as well. Very drinkable...finish has a good hit of bitterness and rounds out nearly perfectly. Wishing this was a more readily available option in Mpls. Very, very solid.

Bottle. The pour is bright orange. The aroma is citrus hops. The taste is a little too bitter, big bold flavors. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Strong citrus aroma. Pours a cloudy orange with a frothy white head. Taste is really hoppy. Grapefruit. Nice rich malt too. Bitter lingers. Has a good bite at the beginning too. Delicious and rich. Good thick body.

Flaska. En gammal bekannt. Hav o toner av ladgård i doften. Världsdoft! Smaken sjukt krämig o balanserad. Fin smak av malt o humle. Så jäkla god öl. En back av den här skulle smaka.

Pours a golden yellow with a thick white head and lots of lacing. Aroma is orange citrus. Taste is piney resin with a hint of citrus. Overall pretty good I always like having a piney IPA when one comes out.

From a bomber to a pilsner glass. First hit of the nose for me was an odd lemon pledge. Hazy amber and yeasty pour. Big first taste. Apricot syrup booze right off the bat. Rounded malt supporting the middle. Very well balanced through the clean fairly dry finish. The crisp green apple at the finish left me wanting more. Super complex but well balanced.

Bomber. Clear copper with a foamy, off white head that lasts in spots and laces. Aromas of grapefruit, pine, biscuit, light earthy mineral notes, herbs, pear and banana. Flavor is grapefruit, pine resin, light biscuit, earthy spice, herbs. Medium bodied, smooth with a slightly dry, warm and bitter end.
