COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lupulin Rapture Incarnate! As fervent devotees of hops, we found ourselves on a quest to create a transcendental IPA capable of quenching our voracious lupulin desires. Our mantra became “unity of bitterness, hop flavor and aroma.” Enlightened, duganA IPA was born: A brutally bitter, dank, piney and resinous ale designed for those seeking a divine hop experience.

Bomber bottle and served in my GI IPA Tulip: A beautiful beer with a golden glow topped by a lasting frothy head which left great lacework upon the glassware. The aroma is very interesting, dank and resiny yet juicy and piney too. The spicy character almost seems more yeast driven then hop, perhaps a Belgian yeast strain? The biscuity and slight caramel malt are strictly there to support the hops. The taste is quite bitter and fruity with a pronounced dank and herbal quality as well. Quite spicy and a bit metallic on the finish. Highly aggressive mouth feel, biting and brash. The alcohol is not hidden either and I do not think they attempted to hide it... now is this beer brutal? Not quite for I have had beer more brutally bittered than this but by no means is this a light weight either. Part of me really likes this beer and part of me feels "meh" like I have been there done that. So final verdict... make your own moment in time with duganA.

A - Pours an amber bronze with a huge 3 finger rocky head. Some sticky lacing left behind. S - Herbal perfume hops, loads of fresh earthy pine and sharp grapefruit citrus. Candied caramel malt. T - Sweet caramel malt floods the taste buds and is infused with honey and herbal floral hops that are full of flavor but seems to be tame on the bitterness. The finish is green pine needles that turns to a sharp grapefruit rind citrus at the very end. M - Full bodied. Glassy smooth. The malt profile is delicious! The hops provide lots of flavor but are low on bitterness much less than the average Imperial IPA. Serving type: bottle 11-30-2010

Great IIPA, piney, grassey, and thick. Goes down like NyQuil. Solid malt backbone with nice bitter bite.

22oz bottle, cloudy pale orange pour with little head. Fruity malt nose. Very malt foward, some honey and mild tropical flavors. The bitterness helps to balance the finish along with some burn.

Bottle in an American pint glass. Pours a dark golden color with little haze. Thick white, foamy head. Sporadic lace throughout the glass. Aoma strong of pine, citrus and floral notes. Taste is very floral at first transforming into a very botter finish. Also the pine and slight earth taste is there. Mouth feel is moderate with carbonation. It does a very bitter taste for quite sometime. I drank a large ice water when done.

Golden brown pour, nice lacing. Floral grassy sweet hop aroma. Sweet hoppy nectar flavor. Bitter. Medium dry finish.

Solid. I like it better than the Maharaja. Nose is big and resinous. Taste is huge on the citrus, but has a great malt bill to back up the flavor. Get it fresh or its not worth it.

Aroma(strong hop/caramel malt) is nice... appearance is nice... that’s where it ends. Decent IPA, but nowhere near worth the price.

Bottle. Aroma has notes of pine, citrus, tropical fruits and caramel. Medium orange amber hazy hue with an average off-white head that left little lace. Flavor is medium to very sweet and very bitter. Palate is full bodied and oily soft. Overall a very nice IPA. But Avery still sucks.

Bomber at home. Pours soft amber, minimal head, even lacing. Aroma of citrus; weak from too much age, I suspect. Taste is bitter with hints of grapefruit. Spicy mouthfeel. Bitter, lingering finish. Again, too much age. Looking forward to another taste and updated review.

Soapy head, amber and quite bitey mango. Hits in the middle rear of the tongue. Good, but a bit one-dimensional. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
