Medium nectar weight with ample residual effers. Flavors are dry with a big fresh hoppy bitterness on the finish. Well ballanced. Hoppy for a brown. The leather and cocoa are almost nonexist. Sweetish, nutty, lightly roasted malt dominates the aroma. Starts out a little molasses sweet, with deep roast and nut flavor. Finishes drier with a touch of bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium thick anda little sticky. A very nice brown. agillespie81 (198), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Dec 8, 2008 Dark brown in color…almost completely opaque. Thick, fluffy head. Heavy malt aroma, with a slight nut complexity. Front also has a nutty malt flavor to it…mouthfeel is very smooth. Back consists of an extremely subtle hop bitterness, followed by a dry finish. Probably one of the best browns I’ve tasted…nothing overwhelming by nature, yet very well assembled. soyorganic (217), Denver, Colorado, USA
