May 26, 2008 Bottle - poured a rather chocolate brown with an off white head. Malts and some dark chocolate from the nose to the pallet. A little bitter rather chalky and sorry to say kind of empty. Drinkable but lacking.

May 26, 2008 bottle at Devonshire tasting. I thought this was an okay brown ale. Aroma of malt, brown sugar little bit of chocolate and a little nutty. The taste was very bland for what it smelled like and very bland for being a brown ale. It was almost flat. Very dark brown pour with nice brown head. Went down REAL easy. Would be a nice all night drinker for me. This one finished near the bottom of the tasting but was one of my favs of the night just because it was very unoffensive.

May 25, 2008 Poured from 12oz bottle a mahagony brown with medium sized tan head. Malty aroma with a touch of brown suger on the nose. Flavor is malty with a little sweetness, molasses, and a slight grainy nuttiness. There is very little bitter in this one just enough to keep it from being too sweet on the palate. Nice. I’d drink this again.

May 23, 2008 An average look to this brown ale in the glass. Nice, light and brown sugar-sweet on the palate. Chocolate finish. Nutty, molasses, slight chocolate aromas.

May 23, 2008 Bottle. The beer poured a nice brown with a slight red tint. A slight aroma of of chocolate, vanilla, and nuts. Overall, I thought it was an okay beer. I can’t really put my finger on on the taste other than being slightly sweet. Not a bad beer though.

May 20, 2008 Bottle from By The Bottle in Vancouver, WA--Poured a rich amber-brown body with a fluffy one-finger white head. Roasty, brown sugar nose with a sweet, creamy, spicily hopped flavor. Finished clean and well constructed.

May 16, 2008 Great show for a brown ale. Very deep, rich amber color, modest off-white head that dissipates. Sweet aroma of molasses and raisins - the malt really comes through. Medium mouth feel with a creaminess over the tongue. Sweet molasses to start but the hops prevent it from being overly sweet. Somewhat of a cola taste in the middle, perhaps influenced by the carbonation? Finish is somewhat sweet, somewhat sour. Overall a very respectable brown ale.
