Nice nutty aroma with a hint of roast in the back. Somewhat creamy palate. Brief hint of bitter to start, then the nuttiness comes in. The finish suggests some roast and has a very slight hoppiness. A very good brown - it is far from being boring and the light roast would make for a good session brew. GonZoBeeR (2161), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada

Anyways, Ellie’s is good-lookin’, deep mahogany brown with an unfortunately short-lived, pretty tan head. The aroma is a vague sweetness and roasted nuts. The taste is fairly sweet with no intrusive hops; the finish is nutty and still free from bitterness. Ellie’s is not a terribly complex beer, but its drinkability is incredibly high. joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA

Nice roasted malty sweetness with a hint of hops. Nice creamy mouthfeel with a dose of hops on the finish. Svesse (2613), Hässelby, Sweden

Aromas of toffee, nuttiness, and light hints of chocolate and floral hops. medium light body with a nutty malty taste and a big balance of hops that gives this beer a dry finish. Great with BBQ. pdxmickey (33), Spokane, Washington, USA
