A_R (311), Georgia, USA Jun 22, 2008 Nice Aroma. Good taste of caramel malts with a hop background. This is a nice and smooth beer that you could drink many of.
Blom (651), Odense, Denmark Sep 6, 2008 Mahogany-brown with a dense head. Nutty aroma with loads of caramel and orange notes. Sweet roasted flavours to begin with, going into a dry hoppy feeling toward the end. lithy (150), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Aug 30, 2008 Ruby brown with a finger of tan head. Very sweet malt, caramel, and sweet candy aroma. Solid body with a bit of carbonation. Sweet malty flavors with a bit of hop finish but mostly lingering sweetness. dkachur (781), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Aug 24, 2008 12 oz. bottle from Whole Foods Charlottesville. Ruby reddish brown pour with a fizzy one finger head. Aroma is chocolate and roasted malt. Very similar taste... actually reminds me a bit of cocoa pebbles. ajm (341), USA Aug 14, 2008 A pretty complex beer, but an odd flavor. To be fair, I may have had it a bit too cold. Aroma is not much to speak of, flavor is nice (not quite as smooth as HazelNut) with a vanilla opening into light nuttiness into a barky coffee-but-mostly-charcoal finish. Found it a bit too grainy at the end, a bit too sharp. Wish the flavor didn’t drop from middle to finish quite so quickly. RIP, Ellie! 1_2many (231), Ohio, USA Aug 12, 2008 Bottle. Dark rust color with a small head. Aroma of caramel and some earthy hops which are very subtle. Flavor is mostly sweet offset slightly by some bittering hops. Pretty smooth and easily drinkable with moderate carbonation. Not a bad brew but completely uninteresting in every way possible.
