DTM (399), Winters, California, USA May 31, 2008 Bottle from the Beer Fest in Davis, CA. I was very disappointed with this beer. I was expecting a more complex flavored beer, but all I got was another typical brown ale. Nutty flavor with a hint of carmel. Average brew.
DrDavid (351), Johnson, Vermont, USA Oct 10, 2008 (Bottle). Sweet caramel aroma. Dark reddish brown body, light brown head. Flavor is very mild, on the sweet side, with caramel and cherry. Not awful, but a bit of a disappointment. RedXIII (86), Powell, Ohio, USA Oct 4, 2008 A bold brown pour with an creamy tan head. Aroma has hints of chocolate and caramel with a sweet taste of chocolate and malt. Finish is vanilla and hops with some earthy flavor to end it.
