Sampled on tap at the Avery Taproom on 9/28/2012. This wild ale pours a medium ruby red color from the tap. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is cereal, tart, fruity and sweet, with some blueberry and a touch of juniper. A medium bodied wild ale. The malts are cereal, fruity and sweet with some blueberry. The hops are herbal. Nicely tart and a touch funky. Good carbonation. The tartness predominates but there is a nice explosion of blueberry flavor at the finish. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is tart.

On tap at Avery. App: burnt amber orange. 1 finger head, off white, dissipates quick, no lacing, small ring of bubbles at edge. Aroma: sour/tart fruit. Taste: acidic, fruity. Mouthfeel: carbonated, alcohol coating. Sour lingers in a good way. I like. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Special tapping at Avery's for GABF 2013. A very light red-orange pour, no transparency. Very white head, decently thick. Sour aroma, pretty sweet. The taste is very fruity, not overly sour. Oaky taste, neutral barrels help bring that out. Very drinkable. Overall one of my favorite sours; the entire Eremita series has impressed me.
