3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pour on tap at the brewery, dark reddish brown pour with thin off white head, aroma brought notes of sour cherry, date, fig, hints of earth, vanilla, whiskey comes through, slight sour grape, oak in there, a bit muddled. Taste is just as muddled, a bit thin on the body with fig, vanilla, sour fruits, hints of oak, whiskey and more vanilla kick with a touch of earth, finishing bitter, dry, boozy.

Pours deep reddish brown with weak head. Sour cherries on the nose. Tart on the tongue. Very tasty beer, sadly only a keg or two left.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20
Tap @ Avery. Pours a dark reddish brown appearance with a brown head. Sour, dark grape, a bit woody, vanilla, very vinegary aroma. Flavor is overly sour and acetic, fucking burns on the finish. There’s some plum, grape, and woody notes mixed in, but fuck man, it destroyed my throat. Pass.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap the brewery. Pour is deep, deep brown with a small tan head. Huge acetic aroma - red wine vinegar, light roast, grape skins, tannin, and oak. Taste is face melting - super sour - vinegar, grapes, somewhat woody, and light roast. Light body with soft carbonation. Nice sour, but a bit too vinegary for me.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
6 oz taster, served in a tulip at the Avery tasting room in Boulder, Colorado. The pour is hazed reddish brown with a smallish off white head. The aroma is big red wine notes, oak wood, along with soft lactic sourness and a touch of fruit (grape) sweetness. The taste shows more sour and lactic vinegar tartness than the nose right away, though the sour edge mellows as the beer opens up, showing the oak wood along with the fruit of the grape, along with a mild roastiness. The palate is medium bodied, soft natural carbonation, and a dry vinegar sour finish. Nice beer.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
A pour at the Avery taproom. Pours a slightly murky brown with very little head. Aroma is slightly musty oak barrels, tart, grapes, some what sweet. Taste is sour, sweet, with elements of the oak and grape notes. Similar to a fine balsamic vinegar (in a good way). Really enjoyable finishes that is dry and leaves your mouth "aching" for more.
