Commercial Description:
15 years of brewing! You know what’s been the best part lately? Tons of experimentation! For the last couple of years, we’ve been working with several strains of brettanomyces (wild yeast). We found one and deemed it the best for it’s tart flavor and funky, fruity aroma. Adding black mission figs for a subtle jammy aspect, hibiscus flowers for an herbal bouquet and hazy sunset hue, and white pepper for a bit of spicy twang, we’ve created FIFTEEN - a unique drinking experience inspired by the wild farmhouse ales of Belgium. Though immensely complex today, more flavor will emerge with time, so throw a few bottles in your cellar for future celebrations. Thanks to all of you who have made our 15-year ride possible! Peace to all and follow your dreams! Brewed with Rocky Mountain water, malted barley, malted wheat, hops, black mission figs, hibiscus flowers, white pepper, and a very unique strain of brettanomyces yeast.

On tap at the brewery on 7/17/09 (good timing on my part!). Pours a hazy yeallow with little head. Strong grapefruit and lemon aroma with a bit of funk. Actually has a nice sourness with a touch of sweet vanilla. Then a clean bitter finish. This developed incredibly well as it warmed and I am very happy to have tried it.

Bomber. Had this once before but decided to try once more. Grain, sour fruits and some bread. Cloudy gold body with white head. Mostly sour citrus fruits with some bready grain to the flavor. A spicey bitterness lingers on the palate. Dent brew.

hazy yellow tangerine body, big white head, aroma is all brett, flavor is magnificent arrangement of tropical fruits and wild funky brett, very soft and hardly acidic or sour at all, all funk which is exactly what I hope for every time I read brettanomyces on a label, some citrus rind bitters that hang back and meld with the wild funk perfectly... I think I saw three more bottles of this at the shop, I’m going back tomorrow and I’m buying them all, seriously, that good

From Taco Mac in Atlanta. Amber pour. Tart aroma, vinegar, lemon, and some funk. Flavor is unique but not overly sour. Fruity and tart and funky. Interesting but just doesn’t seem to come together quite right.

Strong aroma of vinegar, cider, and green olives. It is actually quite nice. Clear yellow, with continuous streams of carbonation, medium white head. Very cidery, with a nice vinous grassiness. Weak traces of apple core and olive remain on the palate. A bit like a good dry cider. Quite refreshing and unique.

From a bottle poured amber with a good amount of head. Nice malty flavor with a light tart finish.
