Commercial Description:
15 years of brewing! You know what’s been the best part lately? Tons of experimentation! For the last couple of years, we’ve been working with several strains of brettanomyces (wild yeast). We found one and deemed it the best for it’s tart flavor and funky, fruity aroma. Adding black mission figs for a subtle jammy aspect, hibiscus flowers for an herbal bouquet and hazy sunset hue, and white pepper for a bit of spicy twang, we’ve created FIFTEEN - a unique drinking experience inspired by the wild farmhouse ales of Belgium. Though immensely complex today, more flavor will emerge with time, so throw a few bottles in your cellar for future celebrations. Thanks to all of you who have made our 15-year ride possible! Peace to all and follow your dreams! Brewed with Rocky Mountain water, malted barley, malted wheat, hops, black mission figs, hibiscus flowers, white pepper, and a very unique strain of brettanomyces yeast.

Bottle: Cloudy peach color with a small white head. Smells fruity, tart, and hints of a high ABV. A tad medicinal... Flavor is moves right into a sour, bitter string of florals and more medicinal notes. Tastes like a medicated bandage. Couldn’t finish mine...

Pour is a cloudy orange with a large whtie head. Aroma is strange. Its super sour with some yeast attached. Flavor is a little better with some tangy fruit but then that damn sourness hits you. Im not sure what they were going for here but I can say that i don’t like this to much.

Bottled 4/8 tasted 7/8. Looks: Gold body. Nice carb. head. Aroma:Clean, sweet fruit nose. A little sour. Taste: Kind of orval with hard water. Not the fruit in the flavor that you smell. Very dry and effervescent. Spicy. Light bodied.

Draft. Hazy gold color with small head. Lively carbonation. Aroma was malty with light fruity notes with large sour brett notes. The taste was the same with light sweetness in the finish. The finish was lightly sweet, bready malt, and brett.

Very fruity with a dry tart finish. Pours gold with a amber hue towards the edges. Peppery esters, not as earthy and funky, but that might change with time. Brett and citrus notes towards the finish, floral with a white grape flavor. I thought this was pretty decent.

Botttle poures a hazy yellow with a small fizy white head. Aroma is quite frankly a bit off putting. Medicinal amd funky. Plastic and of bandaids. Flavor is tart and the brett is obvious. Agin, medicine cabinet’ bandages and save. Weird....and not in a good way.

Bottle: Pours a gold copper color with light white head and nice lacing. The nose is tart with a fruity light note, like cherry or sherry. The flavor is tart with a nice chewy yeast and ester note. Lots of tart fruits and light spicy notes. I love the brett notes running around here. Some of the pepper and flowers shine through in an odd way. I don’t get it unless I’m looking for it. But I am getting a bit of that urinal cake thing. Doesn’t bother me much though. The funk of the yeast can be excused (and enjoyed) for the right kinds.
