Aroma is funkified and full of spices. Flavor is a little up front horse blanket and then a bit of maltiness behind that. Not overbearing on the funk, just a good amount. I am fairly new to the funk. But I seem to like it. AmEricanbrew (2006), Almost, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 24, 2008 Clear dark gold with a wispy white head. Seriously strong cheesy, moldy barnyard piss aroma reminds me of the breeze from the dairy farm i once lived across the river from in Snoqualmie, Wa. Medium body and softly carbonated. Main flavors are earthy, dusty pale malts with cheesy funk, and a taste of of citrusy lemon which adds some tartness. The biggest barnyard aroma i’ve come across in a long time. Good stuff ! fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA

Aromas of black pepper and other saison like spices. Flavors were some fruit, floral notes, and more spice. Touches of sour on the finish that gave away the brett. Very good. Maybe better with time. yespr (12436), Copenhagen O, Denmark

Milky and acidic aroma. Flavour is spiced and milky lacto to light acidic/citric brett. Dry yet mild spiced with a light acidic touch into the finish. Interesting new brew from Avery. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jul 12, 2008 Pours pale golden w/ a slight pinkish tone to it. A solid head rises and sticks like glue reducing slowly leaving a sticky lace as a reminder. Strong infected aromas wahft about my nostrils. Full nectar w/ creamy residual effers. This infected specimen is on the mild side of the tart/sour spectrum. I can actually drink this one although I do see a lack of character compared to it’s peers. I am picking up on some wild apple, light colord stone fruit like nectarine and peach. Throw in some exotic tropical nuances and a pinch of spice and it’s summed up. The finish is wet, mildly infected, and lasting. Quite complex. waolsen (1224), Littleton, Colorado, USA

Rich funky nose with a touch of citrus. Medium body. Complex blending of sweet and bitter notes with a good measure of wild yeast funk. Highly carbonated. Definitely one to let warm up a bit. badlizard (2409), Berkeley, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 9, 2008 On tap at the Linkery. Very cloudy dark yellow with a fizzy white head. Sweet aroma. Not as sour as I was expecting. The fig taste comes through nicely, only a hint of nectar flavor otherwise the hibiscus isn’t really noticeable. The pepper taste comes through in the finish. Pretty good overall.
