Nephilium (420), Ohio, USA May 6, 2008 The aroma begins with a touch of brett funk, but was predominantly sweet. Pours a light orange, with a touch of cloudiness, and a fluffy white head. In tasting it, you get predominantly a light crisp body, with some peppery notes and a touch of brett. Not bad, but I really would prefer more funk in the bottle. I’m going to be trying to get my hands on some of this to cellar.
21iceman40 (1669), north little rock, Arkansas, USA Aug 29, 2008 This was weird, very spicy, yeasty, and saisonesque. I’m not sure if i would have it again, but it was a very interesting tasting experience. I didnt care for the pepper vibe to it, but all in all it was a fun time drinking this beer. joergen (6257), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 29, 2008 Bottle.

Nice copy of the Bruegel label--or is it some famous painting?Fermented with 100% Brett? Huzzah!--hopefully. Clear medium golden with a 11/2 finger off-white head, good retention. Aroma has the undeniable aroma of brett--dry, lemony, leathery, and slightly buttery--with some light cherry cough syrup in the back-end. A little peach is present as well--smells pretty clean, actually. Flavor isn’t quite as nice, with straight alcohol and grain coming forth. I could pick up on only a hint of floral notes (hibiscus, perhaps?) with the white pepper coming forth towards the finish. Plenty of cough syrup notes as well. Dry finish, bitterness peaking around a 2-3 and sourness at a 2. Moderate carbonation with a medium body. Started out promising, but fell flat. I don’t care what Andy says, he’s wrong and a jerk. Appearance: Murky amber gold ale with bright medium top. Nose: Sour farm brew with medicinal elements and citric orange like substratum. Funky organic feel is unavoidable. Flavor/Palate : Medium bodied , soft in character. Less funky than aroma. slight spice with rose feel at finish. Interesting. Became more complex at finish. Slight fruity hints of red apple.
