COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For 14 wonderful years, we have been creating libations for ourselves in the hope that some others out there would share our eccentric palates and support us. Many thanks to all of you who do! Here is yet another quirky brew: a very dark and different, dry-hopped ale. Style? hard to say, you decide. Just expect massive molasses maltiness, limitless fruits on the nose and an imposing floral & zesty dry-hop finish. Peace to all and follow your dreams!

(22oz bottle) Large, rocky beige head atop cola black body. Aroma is moderately sweet, herbal, some grapefruit, caramel, dark chocolate. Taste is sweet, plum/raisin, herbal, chocolate, vinous, floral/grapefruit, caramel. Low carbonation, sticky full body. A hodgepodge of flavors, the net effect of which is a whole that’s less than the sum of its parts.

Bottle, 22oz. A dark brown beer with a reddish hue. Sweetish, roasted aroma with dried fruits and beef stock as well. Quite sweet on the palate, with beef stock, hops and pine, finishing with a lasting flavor that has a coffee-bitter twist. Maybe a bit thin body. I love the flavor combo this beer shows, and it went very well with figs and vanilla ice cream. (071228)

Bottle shared with the wolf and 2 other. Thank Martin for this treat. Pours a deep wine red colour with a medium head leaving a good lacing. Quite sweet toasty aroma with dark fruits, hops and alcohol. Good mouthfeel. Roasted, bitter, dry fruitish flavour with a nice maltiness, some spices and some alcohol. Very tasty brew.

Bottle. [shared with faroeviking @ Plan B, thanks to Plan B for a taste of this!]
Pours a deep nutty red-black with a small creamy beige head - lots of lacing. Aroma is hoppy, lightly roasted with a touch of chocolate. Flavour is round, roasted, dry, chocolate and still light and fresh. A touch vinious, but never alcoholic. This is a wonderful brew!

Christian (8043) - Odense, DENMARK - NOV 13, 2007
Dark ruby beery with a lasting light beige head. Initial aroma is "dry hopped Avery", with that great balance of the grapefruit, the peach and the pine. Also some chocolate, molasses, wood, caramel and a hint of alcohol. Flavour is rather sweet, full of dark, roast malt, chocolate, and a little alcohol. Long aftertaste of classic porter "charcoal". Unusual and a little confusing to drink since aroma and flavour doesn’t quite match.
