COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For 14 wonderful years, we have been creating libations for ourselves in the hope that some others out there would share our eccentric palates and support us. Many thanks to all of you who do! Here is yet another quirky brew: a very dark and different, dry-hopped ale. Style? hard to say, you decide. Just expect massive molasses maltiness, limitless fruits on the nose and an imposing floral & zesty dry-hop finish. Peace to all and follow your dreams!

Tallahassee, Fl. - Market Square Liquors - 22 oz bomber. Very dark, leaning to black copper pour with a thick creamy, sticky mocha colored head. Bubblegum and licorice in the aroma with some hints of chocolate. Thick, rich flavor with hints of chocolate, licorice, candied sugar, brown sugar, hints of molasses - brief chicory notes. More malt accented than most Avery offerings - citrusy hoppiness is kept in the background. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy...not to the point of "luxuious" - but nice.

Dark molasses, dark chocolate, piney, citrusy, caramel and milk chocolate jump from the nose. Full hoppy mouth, molasses, grapefruit, dark chocolate. Citrusy finish. Generally I like IBAs and this is no exception.

Bottled. Ruby red and mahogany coloured. Huge chocolate brown dense head. Quite impressive sight. Caramel, ripe fruits like raisins and prunes in the aroma. Has a somewhat sweet and and flowery note and some alcohol is notable. Flavour is a bit subdued. Caramel there again. Some liqourice and spice. Brown sugar and fruits. Prunes again and light raisins. Is quite full bodied. Quite dry. To me it has a light smoked character. Ends on a medium and quite pleasant bitterness, which transform into some applenotes. Alcohol leaves a bit warmth on the lips and palate. Quite nice and pleasant beverage.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy with a frothy top finely sized dark tan colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a semi-opaque typically carbonated dark brown colored body. The aroma was brown malt and mild spice. The mouth feel was very tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt sweet vinous and brown malt. A wonderful best in class brew.

dark ruby leading to brown in color with thick tan-ish head. aroma is molasses and carmel with plenty of pine and citrus hops. some biscuit malt, roasted malt, carmel malt, candi sugar, coffee (light roast), milk duds, and maple molasses flavors with a full body. interesting that with all that it maintains its hoppiness.

22oz bottle: Deep, dark brown pour with a thick and lasting mocha colored head. The nose offers a fantastic balance of citrusy hops, caramelized malts and sublte oxidation. Thick, chewy body offers an array of aged malt. Notes of burnt caramel, cookie dough, fresh dough, brownie batter and honey. A splash of orange and grapefruit hops balance the sugary malts. The bitterness is subdued, but the balance is there and this drinks really well. Oxidation is starting to become apparent, but it adds to the overall complexity.

22 oz bottle shared with padrefan. What a crazy beer. We were sitting there trying to figure out what flavors were NOT in this beer. Chocolate for sure. Anise, molassas, caramel, clove. Strange, but actually pretty good.

22oz bottle pours dark brown with ruby highlights and a huge tan head that stays well and laces in sheets. Aromas of caramel, chocolate, pine, and some rasin. Flavor is caramel, chocolate, lots of earthy notes, pine, slight grapefruit, and some slight spice at the finish. Well carbonated with good medium body and a nice mouthfeel. Somewhat bitter at the finish. An interesting brew!
