COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For 14 wonderful years, we have been creating libations for ourselves in the hope that some others out there would share our eccentric palates and support us. Many thanks to all of you who do! Here is yet another quirky brew: a very dark and different, dry-hopped ale. Style? hard to say, you decide. Just expect massive molasses maltiness, limitless fruits on the nose and an imposing floral & zesty dry-hop finish. Peace to all and follow your dreams!

Big dark color and off white head make this a beautiful looking beer. Lots of malt with some fruit and sugar in the nose Smoky malt taste with some hops tucked away in the flavor. As it warmed up, the flavors really started to stand out. Very smooth finish and sneaky alcohol strength. I liked it, but just like a lot of Avery beers, be careful of the sensory onslaught. Not for the faint of drink.

22 oz. bomber courtesy of Nate shared with Exec. Board. Pours black with chocolate, fizzy head. Raisin and brown sugar, roast, chocolate and slight carame, fing and apple. Medium body. Bitter at the end and into the after with accents of roast and diminishes the fruit. Very Impy Stout/Porter Esque. Decent.

Draft @ BSP 7/30/07. Poured a dark ruby black with an extreme nose of hops upon hops, with just the slightest tang of sweet fruit esters. Flavor palate is dominated initially of banana, some clove, cinnamon, with molasses overriding all, and also an unusual plasticy flavor probably due to the alcohol content. Somewhat unbalanced towards the sweet/alcohol end, with hops present more in flavor than bitterness.

Aroma: fairly chocolaty, hops have faded it appears, definitely licorice, and for some reason I want to say cast iron. Flavor: quite a bit of chocolate. Finishes moderately dry with the chocolate staying strong all the way through. Mouthfeel is smooth and almost full enough.

This brew pours a sassy dark, brown colour with a vanilla coloured head. FUll of nutty aromas but not sweet. roasted nuts and tree bark. milk chocolate and cajun seasoning, tobacco and cigars in the taste. A bright lively mouthfeel and very tastey. Not too rich, which i liked :)

Pours a dark brown with a decent tan head. Aroma of hops, citrus and malt. Nice hoppy taste with interesting fruity tang that melts into a bitter finish. Pretty tasty.

Pours a dark brown with a nice tan head that leaves lacing. I can’t quite get the aroma. It’s got plenty of fruits in the nose and roasted malts, but something more. Almost like a stout but not quite. The aroma is coated with chocolates and plenty of spicy hops in the finish. There’s some alcohol following the chocolates. This is a very different type beer, but not bad.

16th May 2008. Smooth chocolatey start with a faint molasses tone. This leads quickly to fruity hops that are not bitter. A little like a barleywine but this is something different.
