KAggie97 (1921), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Aug 18, 2008 Tap at Flying Saucer, I believe. Nice pour that leaves a thick, cheddar yellow beer in the glass. Aroma is a tad weak on the grapefruit side, with a slight hint of pine in the background. Flavor is a bit watered down but features touches of grapefruit, pine, and orange. Average mouthfeel. Nice IPA, but it seemed more like a test batch than a final offering. Lumpy (1530), Carrollton, Texas, USA May 15, 2008 Draft. Body-good lacing, clear golden body with a half inch foamy head. Nose-clean hops, grapefruit, clean unsweet hops, Pine-Sol. Taste-Pine-Sol, low to medium sweetness, good dose of floral hops, very low key bitterness, very nicely done not too sweet or bitter, very balanced, clean. Boils down to a clean well done IPA that balances all the usual IPA flavors as well. Ernest (4253), Boulder, Colorado, USA Dec 15, 2007 GABF 2007.
Body is light to medium yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, resin), lightly yeasty (dough).
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation.
Can’t say I found this particularly unique, and it’s not my kinda thing, but it’s a solid enough example of this sort of beer. goldtwins (3740), Nesconset, New York, USA Oct 30, 2007 GABF 2007: Poured a slightly hazy gold with a thin off-white head. Big hop forward aroma with pine and grapefruit. Grapefruit and pine flavor with a moderate rind bitterness on the finish. Malty base help balance. Medium to full bodied. kp (6300), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Oct 21, 2007 Date: 10/12/2007
