unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Mar 12, 2009 22oz bottle. Pours reddish copper, thin white head, long lasting. Aroma of sweet candied caramel, nice malt, some light citrus hop. Full malt sweetness. Very balanced, creamy texture. Easy to drink. Finishes with a well done hop profile. its favors more to the English style of BarleyWines. Very good, full bodied, full flavored, and enjoyable. Cheers dirt55 (150), Washington, USA Mar 9, 2009 bottled, pours medium amber with no head, very aromatic hop presence...live a fresh handful of hops, wonderful full mouth aroma of hops with not as much bittering compared to full hop nose, light lasting sweetness, not at all as sweet as majority of barleywines, feels more like a super ipa without carbination then a barleywine. andersand (271), Malmö, Sweden Mar 8, 2009 Aged bottle (based on the lack of hops) Sweet rather full bodied, nicely balanced mouthfeel on the edge of sticky. Flavours of raisins, caramell, dried fruits and other typical barleywine characteristics. Even with the absence of hops it’s a very typical american barleywine with caramell in focus. Tasty never the less. NomDeBeer (398), Maryland, USA Mar 4, 2009 Aroma is mostly citrus hops and some alcohol. Pours a beautiful mahogony color with a lasting off-white head. Taste is caramel, smoke, wood, and plenty of citrus hops - almost more of an Imperial IPA really. Alcohol is noticeable, but hardly overwhelming. Surprisingly drinkable too. Mouthfeel is thick without being syrupy. This is an enjoyable beer. Cavie (1317), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Mar 4, 2009 Very hoppy flavor covers the taste of alcohol. This is an odd creation in the Barleywine style. Ramenen (453), San Salvador, El Salvador Feb 26, 2009 Drank it last nite at ghawener’s house. Pours a dark amber with a nice thick head. Excellent caramel malts, sweet, then the citrus from the hops. Warming beer. kiefdog (1567), Tampa, Florida, USA Feb 26, 2009 22oz bottle courtesy of bhalter8.
