Commercial Description:
This dangerously drinkable garnet beauty is a hop lover's delight. The intense dry-hop nose and the alcohol content are perfectly balanced for a caramel candy-like malt finish. This is a serious beer for serious beer afficionados and it only gets better with age. Cellarable for 3 years.

Gracias gordo desde la casa de hawie. Muy rica y si no se pasara de citrica estara en su justa medida.

aroma is of huge sticky malt. color is burnt rust. flavor is of malt which is not nearly as thick and sticky as the nose predicted. hops work well to balance things and then some -- big hops on this one set it a bit apart from the pack. hop bitterness and malt sweetness mix just like lemons and sugar, resulting in a very distinct lemonade flavor and lingers. palate is much less then syrupy suprisingly. overall nice hop profile and above average in general.

2007 vintage on tap at Collins Pub (Feb 2009). Pours mostly clear reddish amber with a minimal off-white head. Nose is caramel and strawberry/orange/pineapple fruity hops. Tastes like it smells. Thick mouthfeel with a slightly bitter finish.

Tap at Roadhouse. Not sure how often I would like to drink this, but there isn’t anything really wrong with it. Mellow sweet nose of malt and sugar. Flavor is quite apple juice similar, with subdued hops. Great favor and balance despite.

On tap at Toronado for Barleywine fest ’09. Nice one, if not a standout among the other awesome offerings. Amber color with a nice off-white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, floral hops, and dark fruit. Flavor is the same with brown sugar and more fruitiness. Medium-full on the palate.

An almost copper pour the light white head and lace. Aroma of strong dried fruit, raisins, and dates. Flavor is fruity and a tad dry. Abv is well hidden. Carbonation is smooth and mouthfeel is solid. A very nice bw. If it had been a touch sweeter I would have scored it through the roof. Very nice and could be a sneaky one;)

Well, I wouldn’t call this heaven, but it’s pretty close. This pours a medium amber with lingering head. It actually smells and tastes more like an IPA IMO, but had some slight sweetness on the finish. Nevertheless it is a great beer, and great ending to my pick six singles pack. Cheers!

Bottle. Pours orange with an off white head. Sweet malty aroma, with pint, slmosy spicy hops. The flavor is well balanced, with sweet caramel malt, piny hops and fruity citrus. Very nice.
