Commercial Description:
This dangerously drinkable garnet beauty is a hop lover's delight. The intense dry-hop nose and the alcohol content are perfectly balanced for a caramel candy-like malt finish. This is a serious beer for serious beer afficionados and it only gets better with age. Cellarable for 3 years.

Bottled: Wow great beer! Pours a dark ruby color with full tan head. Smells of dry hops, citrus, and earth. Tastes very hoppy with a nice caramel citrus flavor. Kind of reminds of a candy apple!

Pours a dark amber beer with a thick brown head. Aroma is grassy, citrus, hops with notes of alcohol. Flavor is sweet caramel, citrus and a ton of hops. Medium body. This is an awesome barley wine.

22 oz bottle. Pours slightly reddish amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is a nice balance of citrus and spice hops and caramel scents. Flavor includes grassy and citrus hops, some caramel flavors. Fairly strong bitterness. I wish the caramel flavors stood up to the grassy hops a little better here. Good lacing. Some alcohol in the finish, along with a bit too much lingering bitterness and grassiness in my opinion. Kind of wish the flavor had been as balanced as the aroma suggested it would be. Might be better with some age on it.

This is a fantastic barley wine. Pours dark red with a nice smell and great floras. Tastes sweet and sugary with enough alcohol to satisfy but doesnt have a bite like alot of other ’wines’ do. MMMMM MMMMM Goood.

Pours a nice creamy head which slowly deflates, pleasant inviting color, minimal floral aroma, but good hoppiness in the nose, fine heavy mouthfeel, minimal bitterness initially, which gradually builds and then lingers, but not overly long. Let this one warm a bit. Too much chill kills the subtleness.

[Bottle] Pours a clear copper with a medium off white head. Aroma is loaded with citrus hops. Some malt backbone, but smells more like a double IPA. Flavor is hop forward. Very bitter, with the sweetness of the malt coming through towards the end.

Bottle from Market Street in McKinney, TX. Pours a nice hazy dark amber with very nice beige head. Aroma of caramel and grapefruit. Flavor is sweet with obvious grapefruit and caramel malts. Has full body and low-medium carbonation. Overall this is a very good barleywine! Really hit the spot.

clear amber with a great ruby tint. very creamy dense head. intriguing aroma of wood, molasses and oily pine hops, with delicate rose hips hiding in there as well. silky caramel beginning is quickly overcome from the imposing wall of hops whose floral qualities of wildflowers, nectar and more pine start simple but offers much more when i look closer. once warmed, the bitterness becomes more astringent, body is thinner, and much of the sweetness fades.
