Commercial Description:
This dangerously drinkable garnet beauty is a hop lover's delight. The intense dry-hop nose and the alcohol content are perfectly balanced for a caramel candy-like malt finish. This is a serious beer for serious beer afficionados and it only gets better with age. Cellarable for 3 years.

22 oz. Pours dark copper with a thick off white head. Big hop aroma, pine, grapefruit, balanced with a thick malt. Malty thick taste with lots of hops, caramel and alcohol. Finishes with a hoppy bitterness. Avery is great at making over the top beers and this is no exception. Get ready for hops malt and, in the end, being much more buzzed than ou thought you would be. Very good.

Clear red/dk amber with cream color head that’s meringue-like w/ big bubbles. Lots of lacing
Piney hoppiness with some citusry notes, slight hints of maltiness
Malty punch with loads of bitterness to carry thru
Med-hvy body, med carb
Nice Barleywine with emphasis on hops, but solid Malt backbone. Good stuff

Sampled out of a 22oz from BevMo. Has a very crisp hoppy flavor with thick thick malts. Overall a very good brew with a very well crafted palate.

Pours a deep brownish red with a very thick and creamy off-white head. Smells of hops and citrus. With a grassy sweetness that follows the citrus. Tastes of hops and smokiness in the front and some fruit, bananas, on the finish. My second favorite BW to Stone OG. Thickish but crisp. Good carbonation, to me carbonation in a BW is key. You could drink alot of it but the high ABV would kill you.

Pours a murky amber color with an off-white head leaving sticky lacing all around the glass. The smell of this one is awesome, it has some caramel in the background, but mostly consists of citrus fruits, and a very strong smell of pineapple. Taste starts out hoppy with combinations of pine and citrus fruits, then hits you with a subtle maltiness, finished with pineapple. Mouthfeel is full bodied and just the right amount of carbonation, truly feels wonderful on the palate. Would I have another, oh hell yes. Definately worth picking up, I will be getting more as soon as I can.

old rating: 7/4/8/4/16 - 3.9 pours a clear brown-orange with a small beige head, and great lacing. smell of grapefruit hops, caramel, some floral, spice, some sweet fruit, and citrus. taste is light grapefruit, pear, apple on the first sip, then bitter, alcohol, some lemon, some tangerine, and a little caramel, ends a little dry and very bitter.
